You know how people get fun fannish dreams? Not so much for me. I had a dream about writing, specifically that when I went to re-read the Bob in Space file it was terrible. Full of cliches, bad word choices and teenie speak. A sign that I need to cut down the badfic reading I feel. Which I can do. I mean, it's not an addiction or anything.

I mourn the lack of Mikey/Frank stories. There needs to be many more. I feel that needs to be said.

And I have nothing else to share as today has been a whole lot of nothing. I slept until 11, which was glorious because it was sleep much needed, then visited nanna, who has the death flu and if she passes it on I'll be most displeased, then came home and pottered around tidying up. Such is the excitement of my life.

So, entertain me, flist. I've been thinking about bullet proof kinks lately. Have you got any, and if so and don't mind sharing, what are they? For me it's h/c. I'll read the worst story in the world to get that hit. I'm addicted to anything from the mildest cold to the hardest hurt and the comfort after just makes the story for me. I do have other bullet proof kinks, but h/c is the main one.

I have to agree with Ephemera, I don't have any truely bulletproof kinks, if the writing is too terrible I won't read it no matter what it is. That's not to say I don't have kinks, it's just that they're not proof against my critical faculties :-) But if the writing is good and it's written in a way that appeals to me I'm very fond of bloodplay, angry sex, certain forms of bdsm and d/s, brothercest, and quiet lyrical writing. *looks back at what she wrote* That's a weird collection of kinks!

Bulletproof kink-wise... hmm. The ones that I will always, always read, no matter what are threesomes and vampire AUs [which wraps claiming/possession and bloodplay into the mix nicely]. The one exception to the vampire rule I've found is 'The Scene is Dead'. I got through the gruesome deaths of 3/4s of FOB -barely- but had to walk away when MCR had to leave Bob behind.

Kinks with the 'must be well-written!' disclaimer - D/s, bdsm and phone sex/dirty talk. I love,love LOVE that stuff, but only if it's well done.

My bulletproof kink is miscommunication angst, in which there is fighting and pining and someone feeling unloved and left out and hurt and then they make up - but not too quickly - and everyone is happy. It's bulletproof enough that even when the characters need to be smacked and I'm all JUST TELL THEM FOR GOD'S SAKE, I love it anyway.

Yeah, I wish I had fannish dreams as well! So far I've had Jared P. being mad at me, and Bon Jovi performing 'wanted dead or alive' during the Eurovision, but that's it. :/

Also, kinks. I do enjoy some D/s undertones (overtones?) and some light bdsm. I think it's really sexy when the person on top does the 'holds both wrist in one hand' thing. However, I've read some fics with, what I guess were meant to be bdsm and/or D/s, but where it turned out to be borderline non-con. That turns me off.
