I heard about harlequin_bands and my thought processes were something like this.

Finally, the reason why my dad's fiancée keeps plying me with Mills and Boons books is clear. It's fate!
But I made a vow. No more challenges.
But I could write Gerard gravely injured after storming from his job, and he's lying in a coma and the medical bills are mounting so Mikey goes to the HQ of Gerard's employers to demand that they pay. The HQ is in another country of course and Mikey only gets a one way ticket and he walks from the airport and it's miles and someone steals his ipod and cell and it's all tragic.
But, no more challenges.
But then Mikey would lie in wait and when he saw the dastardly ???? he'd pounce and there would be a scene and Mikey could faint with exhaustion and lack of food! And the dastardly ??? would shove him in his car and take him to a remote mansion and when Mikey wakes up he'd be pissed and demand they pay Gerard's medical bills.
NO MORE CHALLENGES!
The dastardly ??? is all sneering and cold, but of course in reality he goes and looks up who this Gerard person is, sees yes, he was an employee, one that had been treated badly by one of the lower bosses, which makes ??? mad. He arranges to pay all medical fees. But of course doesn't tell Mikey he's going to do it anyway. So he goes back, and tells him that he'll consider paying, but Mikey has to pay him back.
HELLO!? No challenges.
So Mikey goes. But I have no money, and ??? would go. Who said I want money? And it would be sex slaves in chains a mansion cut off from the world OMG! There would be Mikey crawling into bed because he needs that money and he's all pale and expressionless and ???? sweeps in from his shower and he strides to the bed thinking how beautiful he looks and that he'll teach Mikey a lesson with just one kiss and it's supposed to be brutal but of course it ends up hot and dirty and ???? pushes Mikey to one side because it's not supposed to be good. Which is when Mikey punches him, wraps the silk comforter around his body, tells ??? to fuck off and leaves the room.

I'm doomed aren't I?

In other news. I'm going out for the day very soon. My SiL, BiL, niece and nephew are away. So we're taking the in laws out. I have no idea where though. Whatever, I'll have good music and time to plot.

I don't blame him for being dubious. I would be too.

I have this whole plot bubbling in my head, how Mikey and ??? would fall in love, but of course neither would say anything so there's silent breakfasts and insults and Mikey needing to get back to Gee so he decides to hitch back to the airport, and he takes off in the middle of the night and he's walking through the forest and it's raining, no snowing and hours later, when the sun is rising and he's freezing and finally finds the road a car screeches up, ???? jumps out, and of course ??? has been frantic and he gathers Mikey in a hug and they kiss and it's all good, then ???? pushes him away again because god, he doesn't want to be in love with this man.

Dude, I need to stop talking already. That or decide who ??? actually is.

Dude, did you see the scene I told Chris?

Mikey. Trying to escape in a snowstorm, and once he's found he's sitting in the car with ??? and there's this heavy silence because ???? is all frantic on the inside, knowing how close he's come to losing Mikey, but of course he doesn't say anything. Just glowers as he watches Mikey, who's fallen asleep all curled up with a blanket tucked up to his chin.

Then they get back to the mansion and Mikey goes to his room to shower and when he gets out he finds out he's been locked in and he stands at the window, watching the snow fall and thinking about Gerard and just missing him so badly.

Meanwhile ??? is in the study, and he's looking at a photo of his first love who died in a tragic fire so of course ??? has never allowed himself to love since, and now this skinny floppy-haired man is worming his way into his heart and that can't do at all!

It is an awesome challenge, but I really did say no more. I have one birthday story and one challenge to complete then free time until sesa. My plan was to finish Bob in Spaaaace! in that time.

But, I have to admit. Apart from the end I pretty much know what's going to happen in this story. So you know /o\

It really would. Though I keep thinking that Pete's great lost love who died in a fire would have to be Patrick, and that makes me sad.

You should write it! There's no deadline and who cares if other people write that pairing? More is good. I'm positive you'd do a good job and Jon/Spencer is a pairing of love. They need romance and misunderstandings!
