turpsI finished my JuC swap story earlier. You'll notice this is past the deadline, because I'm made of fail. Still, it's over 14,000 words of story and I think my recipient will like it. I really hope so anyway. Everyone else, maybe not so much.
However. This now means as of this moment I am deadline free! I have stories to finish, but they're my own. No deadlines at all until I sign up for SeSa. If you know me and my challenge addiction you'll know how huge this is.
Yesterday was a day of fannish joy. FOBs mixtape, Gerard's blog, Panic being wonderful and continuing to flail over the MCR pictures. Mikey and Frank picture of joy ftw! Then there was Lance being officially announced as taking part on Dancing With the Stars and being happily surprised that people weren't continuing to say he should dance with a man.
I have a doctors appointment soon. I can't say I'm looking forward to it but I need my medication sorted and to tell them there's something up with my foot. It's getting old it hurting so much after only walking a short distance. Still. Doctors. Meh.

It's nothing short of a miracle that Lance has never gone on a paparazzi/gossip columnist killing spree.
I mean, okay, sure, there is nothing wrong with two men dancing together, OF COURSE. But the total freakshow aspect of the suggestion and the way it was made kept making my skin crawl -- he's supposed to be taking part in a competition, for God's sake! And like gay men have never danced professionally with women before. Oh, no. Professional dancing is a job widely known for it's rigid straightness.

Tell me about it. I kept seeing people squeeing about how awesome it would be if Lance danced with a male partner, and all I could think was with fans like them who needs enemies? Wanting to single him out like that is ridiculous.

As for that picture, I can see how it could be dangerous like that. If I didn't have to be somewhere in ten minutes, I would probably totally lose more time to it, too!
