turpsI've been watching my Popodyssey DVD this morning, and have comments, cut for those that are sick of my sparkly talk *g*
I know this is old news for most of you but I'm playing catch up.
First, I *love* the dvd. It's made me lol all morning and even made me get a tear in my eye at the slow songs and that's just sad. They all look fantastic, despite wearing clothes that really no man should ever wear. When Chris first came on stage with those colourful clothes and black stripes under his eyes I almost stopped breathing. JC looks amazing and I'm getting Lance issues the more I see him. Joey looked great and damn can Justin work a crowd! I'm still not attracted to him that much but it's hard to take your eyes off him when he's working it.
Watching them riding the bulls in Space Cowboy had me in hysterics, mechanical silver bulls with evil red eyes. It fits somehow *g* I still don't like the song that much but the performance, arriving on wires, the bulls the sparkly chaps -- it's a thing of beauty! Oh and also, they must have inner thighs of steel to stay on those things. *Terri's mind goes into the gutter*
Loved the It's Gonna be Me part, all the toys, and I may have melted when they started bouncing on the space hoppers. Space hoppers, I refuse to get a thing about them, but pretty boys bouncing on space hoppers is a good thing *nods* Very impressed with Chris' roll over the barrier, a small thing but I liked it.
More about this later maybe, once I watch again.
Decided to do that friends fandom thing that I've seen everywhere.
Have to start with:
OZ: As far as I can see the only characters are Beecher and Keller. There's lots of male nudity, rape, angst, you know all the good stuff in life. Why aren't I in this fandom? And no that wasn't a hint!
Yaoi: Sorry sis, anyone else that likes this. I have to lump all the shows under one lable as I can never remember titles. But it seems to be based on cartoons that are on Cartoon network. No idea of character names but they all have huge dark eyes and spiky hair, or long pony tails. They don't seem to wear much either.
Spooks: All I know about this is Dr Bashir from DS9 had a guest roll. I know it's something to do with MI5 ( i think ) and has a character called Tom who's slashed with his partner?
Harry Potter: The only two HP stories I've ever read had someone receiving oral sex from the sorting hat and Snape getting anal sex by this pig thing climbing in his ass. Which probably tells you more about me than you want to know ;) I doubt this is reflective to the fandom though *g* That has the beautiful Snape and poor abused Draco. The main three characters don't seem that important in fandom which is weird.
Due South: I used to watch this so know the characters. But the fandom? Don't the Ray fans fight? Also Frasier (sp) seems to veer from frigid to a raving nympho.
Smallville: Scary fandom that eats newbies for breakfast ;) Only one pairing allowed Clex, and MR is lusted after by people who want to lick his head.
Andromeda: I watch this but don't go into the fandom now. Dylan's a dick, Tyr's gone, and Harper ( the best character IMP ) is pushed to the side. Trance changed colour and lost her tail *g*
PotC: It's all about Jack, and he apparently is slashed with his ship or the sea??? But he has nice eyes. The eyeliner *GUH*
QEFASG: A straight man is made over by a posse of gay guys. Sounds fun.

Yes and no. You find lots of yaoi based on already existing animes/mangas --ie like our slash based on TV shows-- but you also find original yaois with original stories and original characters, like "Fake", "Gravitation" --points icon, "Kizuna" and so forth and so on. I mean, you find them on-line and in RL, which is just a *wonderful* wonderful thing *eg*
About the eyes and hair thing, now- yeah, I can't say anything against it! lol
