It's a cat kind of day it seems
Sep. 20th, 2008 04:10 pmIt's my dad's 60th birthday party tonight. They've hired a room at the pub and there'll be a buffet. No music though, just family and friends and leaving by 10 because of the no children after 10 rule. It should be nice, my brother and his kids are going, my nanna, aunts and uncles and some of my dad's old friends. I just worry about him being up to it.
Okay, cats now, or kittens. James took some pictures of Pansy. They're not the best as they're mobile pictures, still. Kitty!
Pansy. She's made of adorable and crazy. She loves to climb and fling herself around and is just basically clumsy right now. She also has this deep internal purr and loves nothing better to have a cuddle before standing all over my keyboard.

She's all legs right now.

She loves sleeping with Milo, and he lets her. They also play together a lot, though he sometimes forgets she's so small and knocks her flying.

You may have seen these ones, but my other cats.
This is Milo. We took him in when his owner couldn't look after him any more. He's not a cuddly cat, but he does love to knead, especially at night. His party trick is jumping unexpectadly onto my back at night, when I'm lying reading in bed. He also like to think he should sleep on my pillow. Stretching out and looking indignant when I make him move. His favourite thing to do is stretching, he sits on his back legs and stretches up like a meer cat, and for some reason he loves flexing his paws.

Here he is with Freesia. They both seem to think my desk is the best place in the world. We got Freesia from a shelter, she'd been bullied by the other animals she was home with, and I love her to bits. She's got a weird jaw and leaves tufts of hair everywhere and keeps hacking up hair balls. But she remains made of awesome.

This one is Tinker. She was homed with Milo, and we never intended taking both. But of course we did. She's very nervous and spends a lot of time hiding, but when she does come out she gives the best cat cuddles. She gets right in your face and likes to flop on her side and be held close. She doesn't meow, just has a squeak, and has a really evil looking face at times.

And now I'd better think about getting ready.
