We went to pick up James' tuxedo yesterday morning, and then after that it was off to dad's for a visit. He was so much better than he has been for a while, he was talking more with actual inflection in his tone, and had a spark to him that's been missing for ages now. I've missed him being like that, I've missed him being able to hold an actual conversation.

After that we went to see my niece and nephew, and at one point I was holding Lewis with Hallie hanging onto my leg. But again it was a good visit, so I took the morning as a win.

Then I had myself a Project Runway Canada marathon and read bad waycest fic, both of which kept me very amused, and also had me reading along and being all, 'don't go there... No... NO!!'

It was nice watching PR and not having to worry about being spoiled, being as some people don't seem to think reality show results deserve spoilers. Which brings me nicely to Lance, but more specifically Lacey. Honestly, some of the reaction posts I saw rubbed me up the wrong way. How is it ever right to call people names? It's not, simple as.

To end, have this meme.

Put your MP3 player on shuffle, and write down the first line of the first twenty songs. Post the poem that results. The first line of the twenty-first is the title.

From the top to the bottom
Say hello to the girl that I am,
I know for sure his heart is here with me,
And I'd give up forever to touch you
It's the tearing sound of love notes,
I'm not that kind of guy who can take a broken heart,
Mama we all go to hell.

Hand in mine into your icy blues
I woke up in a dream today
I am so high I can hear heaven
We're talking away
Like a flower waiting to bloom
It still feels like our first night together
Last Christmas I gave you my heart.

I heard you're doing okay
Last year's wishes
When the moon fell in love with the sun
Ahhhhh freak out
Just do something to tell you who I am ya know?
Won't you be my girlfriend?

That'll teach me not to check before commenting- you posted!

I'm glad your dad was feeling better and you had a nice visit.

Not bad waycest again! You are such a glutton for punishment!

I have. But I did only post a birthday post over two days, so I was away mostly :)

It was a lovely visit. It's so nice to have him engaged for a change.

Dude. The waycest. To make it that extra bit horrific, it was n/c waycest.

Shudders! NOOOOOO!!! That is extra horrific. There is just some thing extra wrong about any acrimony between the Way brothers.

Ah, but see. Gerard was drunk, he didn't know what he was doing, and Mikey wanted it. That's why he was flirting with Gee the next day.

That's just so wrong. Even more wrong, in fact!

I must admit, I avoid the early days stories where Gee is drinking. I prefer a sober!Gerard. (not that this has anything to do with me liking/not-liking bad waycest stories, just saying.)

Hee, I like how nicely gender-confused your poem is. And it almost makes sense (a poetic sort of sense, anyway)! Especially the middle verse.

PR Canada hurt my head. I don't know if you've gotten to the end yet, so I won't spoil you (because I understand about reality show spoilers), but I will say that it made me REALLY IRRITATED. I'm hoping if there is a second season, that it will be akin to the second season of Canada's Next Top Model, by which I mean way better, and someone awesome will win. :)

I know! For random lines it did make sense, except for the whole gender issue *g*

I've watched it all, and dude, I think Lucian should have won, no question. All the work he put in, and Biddell hadn't even bothered to prepare for his show until only days before.

They said that Biddell had amazing ideas, and sure, some of his work was amazing, but he couldn't even be bothered to try at times. Like in the swim suit episode. I wanted to slap him around the head. Thought to be fair, I wanted to slap many of them that episode. Each time they bring in so called plus sized models I cringe and wait for the stupid comments.

I do like Brian as a mentor, though. He's no Tim Gunn, but he's good.

Lucian was SO MUCH BETTER than Biddell (also, I HATE that he calls himself Biddell, HAAAAAATE), and he clearly wanted it more, too. And I ended up liking Brian Bailey a lot. Especially since I think it came on after a season of Project Catwalk, and I can't stand Ben DeLuisi (or however that is spelled). Also, Brian Bailey has started to sell his clothes on the Shopping Channel, and he's always really complimentary to the plus-sized models, so I extra like him for that.

It's never right to call people names, at least outside your own head. I still maintain that DWtS was a win, because eventually he had a wonderful time, he had one night especially where he shined, and as Pen says, the whole experience was good for him. Well, not the part where the internet called Lacey names and said bad things about Lance, but the rest of it.

I think Lance showed himself wonderfully, sure, there were dips where they could have done better but overall I think it was a positive thing. Plus, he proved that he can be one heck of a dancer.

Still, I really hope JC or Chris don't try out for the show too. Twice is enough.

Twice is all my heart can take, I think.

It's so good to hear about your nice visit to your dad's and that he's feeling better!!

Oh Terri, your fic reading habits will never cease to scare me :-)

I think that's one of the best results I've seen from this meme. (Maybe because you're a big sap that's got a lot of love songs that completent each others ;-)

PS When will James need a tuxedo? Are you planning on attending something very festive soon?

Yeah, it looks like the new drugs are doing him good. Which I'm relieved about because he'd been in a really bad patch lately. I know he's never going to get better, but if they can keep the parkinsons at the level its at now. Well, that would be great.

Waycest can be so good, except when it's horrific!

Ahahaha. Maybe. It was surprising how nicely they did fit together.

James is going to a ball tomorrow. It's his work Christmas outing, so he's getting all dressed up :)

It's great to hear that your father is doing better and that you can have actual conversations with him again.

I like your poem - it kind of makes sense in a weird way. This is a really cool meme; I might have to steal it. :)

Thank you :)

It was so lovely to have him actually engage with us.

My poem is so sappy, which is weird considering so many of the songs were by Linkin Park *G*

I'm glad you got to see your dad so well.

I think I may have started that same waycest fic but I just couldn't keep reading. You must have a stronger stomach than I do. :)

It was great to see him like that :)

That waycest fic was horrible. I kept reading to see if it improved, and it just got worse.
