Dec. 11th, 2008 10:31 amI've been tagged by various people for the things that make you happy meme. Some versions ask for all the things now, other that you say something for the next seven days. I'm going with that one, it's always good to have something to talk about each day.
My first one is, the way my cats come to greet me in the mornings. Now, I don't really mind mornings as such, though I detest the sound of the alarm. So, I wake up, sit up in bed, and the parade of cats start. Tinker is usually the first one wanting attention as she sleeps in our room, then Freesia will wander in, meowing like a wild thing, she'll jump up for a cuddle until Pansy realises that I'm awake and that's THE MOST EXCITING THING EVER! Pansy will rush in like a streak of fur, jump on me, usually adding more puncture marks to my arms and purr like crazy because I'm awake and she hasn't seen me for HOURS! Finally Milo will stroll in, always looking like he's woke from the best sleep ever, allows a quick pat, then strolls away.
Talking of cats, James took some pictures of our tree last night, they're camera phone pictures so not that clear, but still, the one with Pansy and Milo is awesome.
Demon cats!

Our tree, sadly blurry but you get the picture I'm sure. This was actually taken the night we put it up, which explains the mess.

Freesia is not impressed.

Milo is suspicious.

More tree, more cats :)

Last thing, I've seen this around too, and as it's one of my favourite things to do, tell me who to picspam and I'll do so. For example, JC and interesting fashion choices, Mikey looking hot. But, a warning, I'm only going to use what I have in my files anyway, so I'll have much more choice for some people than others.

Date: 2008-12-11 11:01 am (UTC)Cute tree! I love the first picture with your cat's freaky green, shining eyes.
Hmm, how about Mikey and glasses?

Date: 2008-12-11 11:09 am (UTC)It's so hard to take pictures of cats on a camera phone, their eyes always go freaky. Still, it makes me laugh each time I see.
Awesome request! My Mikey file may be one of the biggest I have, so yes :D

Date: 2008-12-11 11:31 am (UTC)Demon Kitties!
My kittens would have that sparkly stuff torn up & scattered about the house in no time! LOL

Date: 2008-12-11 12:42 pm (UTC)Kittens are trouble, that's for sure. I don't know if I could cope with two. As it is I've found Pansy climbing up the middle of the tree a few times *g*

Date: 2008-12-11 01:16 pm (UTC)As for picspams, sparkly boys with the weirdest props you can find (feel free to use photoshop if you can't find enough pictures otherwise, though I'm sure there are tons).

Date: 2008-12-11 01:22 pm (UTC)Hee. I love that prompt, especially as it means I can break out the photoshopped Lamp pics I have in my photobucket *g*

Date: 2008-12-11 01:31 pm (UTC)It has no theme at all, but every year we pick a new ornament to add, so it has a lot of love hanging on its branches :)

Date: 2008-12-11 02:13 pm (UTC)For the picspam... MCR: geekdom proven in photos. [A friend of mine referred to Bob as the dork-in-law, since he's not from Jersey. I completely agree.]
*hugs you*

Date: 2008-12-11 02:37 pm (UTC)When Gizmo was alive, the minute the tree went up, she was under it until we took it down. Of course, in the last couple of years of her life, she peed on the presents, sigh. Our Christmas mornings were quite...aromatic for a few years there.

Date: 2008-12-11 05:34 pm (UTC)We're always redressing the bottom layer of branches, but thankfully apart from that they're surprisingly good. Though I've given up on keeping the small bells on the tree, they're like a siren call to them all.

Date: 2008-12-11 06:30 pm (UTC)Doesn't Freesia like Gerard? She looks exactly like him with a purple boa around his neck :-)
I think your tree is the sparkliest I've ever seen!! (I wonder how Lancecat is going to react to my tree? He's never seen one before. I hope he won't try to climb it :-)
If you feel up to making more picspams what about one with happy!Gerard?

Date: 2008-12-11 09:38 pm (UTC)Ahahaha. I'm sure Freesia would love to be like Gerard.
I always worry that my cats will climb the tree, so far only Pansy has tried, so you may be okay.
I will totally picspam happy Gerard :D

Date: 2008-12-12 11:40 am (UTC)Oh! Christmas tree! You do love decorating, don't you? :-) It looks so joyous and everything!
Also, that's the request I give everyone in the hope of getting different pics every now and then, thus adding to my collection, so I'll ask for 'serious!Brendon looking serious and/or attentive'. There :-)
