When they were fixing the water leak last week one of the repairmen mentioned they could smell gas. So they reported a gas leak, which we thought had been fixed. Except there was still a smell of gas when you went outside. This morning James phoned again, to be told that no one had actually fixed it and they were sending someone out within the hour, and to not use a naked flame etc.

An hour or so ago the repairman arrived, stuck his head down one of the huge holes outside our house and announced that yes, there was a leak, and it was lucky there hadn't been an explosion. Thankfully it's being fixed now, I hope. I also hope they don't have to turn off the gas supply, because, brrrrr.

I woke up far too early this morning, but with Bob's fake Hawaii pictures, Gerard apologising for not blogging and especially Mikey v huge ass dog, I soon woke up. Every day should start as well.

Also, see my lovely icon as gifted by [livejournal.com profile] mfac Primping Mikey is always a delight to see. Thank you so much, Saba <3

I can't believe they left things so long with a potential leak. How fucking dangerous is that? Asshats!

It's ridiculous, and I bet if James hadn't called they would have never turned up at all.

Wow, I also can't believe they just left a leak hanging out there. That's irresponsible and dangerous.

Excellent new icon!

It really was. All it would have taken was someone throwing a cigarette down the hole and the thing would have gone boom.

Mikey primping is always good to see :)

I was so mad at them this morning.

It's a job that should have been done as soon as it was reported, and considering they've been working for hours now. It must have been a big fault.

Geez, that's bad! When I was looking at houses to buy in Vancouver, I had an inspector with me for one and he found a gas leak, phoned it in right away, and the city had a crew there before we had even left, like less than an hour! Maybe the first repair man meant to report it but never did?

Bob Bryar posting fake vacation pictures is possibly the cutest thing ever!

It really is. Thankfully it's fixed now, and while the holes haven't been filled in they have been topped with metal lids. But I think of what could have happened and shudder.

Bob is awesome, and apparently bored out of his skull *g*

lol, Bob definitely gets the "I'm borrrrrred!" Twitter/Blog Award. What awards would the other guys get? Mikey would get the "Master Of Randomness" Award, lol

Twitter was made for Mikey really, finally he has a place for his random one line thoughts *g*

I think Ray totally gets the story teller of the year award for his epic Bob/go cart story. Frank, the tmi information award and Gerard the reality tv reviewer award *g*

lol, yeah Gerard almost made reality tv sound intellectual. Emphasis on 'almost', lol

I'd give Frank the WTF?! Award, but he'd probably have to go ask Ray what it meant, *snerk*

They found a gas leak and didn't fix it at once??!!! That's incredibly irresponsible, not to mention fucking scary! I hope it's fixed now. *keeps fingers crossed* ETA: And I see that it's been fixed, that must be such a relief for you!

That's a LARGE dog!

I know, it's ridiculous. They've said it's fixed, and the holes have been covered so I'm hoping it is. There were workmen there all day anyway.

It's a huge dog! I wouldn't be surprised if it weighed more than Mikey.

That icon is very lovely indeed. Mmmmikey!

I am kind of appalled at your gas company's behavior! That's unconscionable. I'm SO glad you didn't explode!

Okay, what do you even use gas for, apart from ovens? Because we don't use it for anything, and it sounds far more dangerous than electricity!

We use it for the heating too, which is what I was worried about losing. I'd already frozen once with the water issue.
