[livejournal.com profile] sperrywink is my favourite today.

Due to unfortunate timing on her part she replied to a comment when I was deep in US geography hell, Greyhound routes and prices open in one tab, a map of the US in another. I repeatedly switched between both and wanted to head desk as I realised tickets were way above what poor Spencer and Ryan could afford, plus, two days travel to get to the original destination.

So now, with helpful suggestions, they're hitching from the start, and going in a completely different direction. Though I do feel like telling them, don't get in the truck, bad things will happen!

At the tail end of this Greyhound angst, and while I was making dinner, I had the most delicious idea that would work nicely. Gleeful, I explained the new idea to the cats, but sadly they were underwhelmed. Stupid cats.

Still, at least they're travelling now, on the way to Mikey and Pete. That is, Ryan and Spencer are on the way, the cats are asleep in various positions around the house.

In other news, cycle 11 of ANTM started here last night. Tyra is as crazy as ever. I love it. And no spoilers, please. Some people seem to think shows of this kind don't deserve spoiler consideration, but they so do.

A lot of shows have started again this week, which is why I had to sit and programme the sky plus the other day, which involved a lot of shuffling. Because heaven help us if two shows record at once and James can't watch what he wants on tv. With all the shuffling there's still a 25 minute block on a Thursday where he has to watch what's being recorded, watch something that has been recorded, or do something else entirely. You can believe he's not impressed.

In conclusion, there should be more body swap stories, because they're awesome.

Cats!! Lancecat also just LOOKs at me whenever I tell him something exciting. He's never impressed by anything the smug little bastard :-)

Bodyswap stories are fun!

Yes! That! They're never impressed, just sit there and look at you. So many sighs.

Bodyswap stories are fantastic! I've been considering who I'd like to swap and have been amusing myself with Mikey and Ryan swapping, simply because it would be so much fun playing with dress sense.

Mikey walking into rehearsal wearing a rose vest and home made hat would be gold.

Isn't that JUST LIKE A CAT? *g*

Actually, it's pretty much just like a teenage boy, too. Matthew will bug me and bug me "what're you working on, mom?" So when I do finally figure out a G/PG-rated version of whatever, and spill it all, so excited, he'll look at me and say, "uh. Okay."

!!!!!

*sigh* At least the cats don't ask you to share and then take the wind out of your sails.

I think this comment calls for a Cramp, don't you? ;)

Cats suck as sounding boards!

Though your comment about Matthew reminds me of James. The only time he ever asks about what I'm writing is SeSa time, it's like he has this date in his mind that says, Christmas, must ask Terri about SeSa. So he does, and I start to explain and less than a minute later he's lost all interest.

So yeah. I get you. This is why we need fannish people around at all times.

It does!

Silly cats, don't they understand the beauty of it all?!?!?!

You totally made my morning too! Your comments kept me entertained and fresh for work. ♥

They don't! It's a very sad thing.

I had a revelation, like Bob! Bob could be a trucker, not a dodgy one you understand, but one of the nice ones and he'd be all silent and text as he drives and give them candy bars and be all concerned in that Bob like way and it would be such a lovely cameo, but did the cats understand? No they did not.

You're the best at discussing dodgy truckers *g*

No, wait, you can have Bob *save* them from the dodgy trucker! He could see them going with someone he knows is a sleazeball, and he rescues them and takes them with him instead! And Ryan and Spencer could be relieved, because they knew the first guy was a sleazeball, but they didn't think they'd have any other options!

You can't get rid of the dodgy truckers entirely, where's the fun in that? *g*

Bob! I love your idea, but what will have to happen is they need to meet a dodgy trucker first, because I need the whole jumping from the moving vehical scene where they roll across the ground and get all beat up and are hurt and can't walk so have to hide up for a few days and they're rummaging for food in bins and it's all tragic! And then, when Ryan can hobble a little they set off again and get to this really small truck stop and there's only two trucks there and they can only see one driver and he's giving out really bad vibes but they're starving and cold and at the point where they're thinking, how much worse can things get.

At which point Bob would swoop in for a rescue and get them in his cab and give them chips and the coffee he just bought and then he's sigh and go buy two more and when he comes back they're curled up together fast asleep and he drapes a blanket over them and just starts to drive.

Have Ray because I have no solo!Bob icons

Bob FTW!! I love your idea! Multiple dodgy truckers is definitely the way to go. *g*

I can just see it all now. The dust and exhaust from the desert and trucks and Ryan and Spencer all huddled and defiant, trying to look tough, but so slight and such *boys* that they are easy targets for dodgy truckers.

And then hurt and hobbling along, but still convinced they can't go back home, so pressing forward. Awwww.

I'm glad Bob is there to save them.

YES! To all that!

It's one of those cases where the story is just there in my head, and my fingers can't write fast enough to get it out. Of course it doesn't help when I'm offline nearly all day. That's not right!

That's a brilliant idea!! Such silly kitties that don't get the awesomeness of BOB!!

ETA: And he's of course texting his Gerard at home :-)

Glad you approve!

He actually could be texting Gee. I have this whole universe solid in my head, most of which will never make the story. But, the Bob cameo when he picks up Spencer and Ryan won't be their last meeting. Because in an unsurprising coincidence Bob is friends with the shelter staff :)

I quite enjoyed Cycle 11 of ANTM. You think the show can't get any crazier, then Tyra-bot shows up with Alpha J and Beta J, and you just know it's going to be a good season.

Man, I know!

I was watching and they did the whole tech thing with the Tyra bot and Alpha and Beta J and all I could think was, they're fruit loops. The lot of them.

Thank god for internets! Because I bet no story gets written without extensive googling. :)

That's so true. I was just saying in my latest post how I'd spent well over an hour googling truck stops in Vegas. Which was maybe getting too detailed, but I wanted to know what they looked like.
