It's Corey's birthday today. He's 13 so we're saying hello to the teenage years, I suspect they'll be interesting.

We put banners up for him last night, bought a chocolate cake for later and now he's just settled in to play his new computer game. Maybe he'll move in the next few hours, but I doubt it. So yeah, happy birthday to my kidlet, who will always be my baby, no matter how big or old he grows.

James has to get his cast changed today and because it should have been a quick in and out I stayed in the car. We were parked opposite the maternity entrance and I saw two tiny babies going home, their parents so happy they were almost glowing, and these new people, all bundled up in their car seats, seeing the world for the first time. They've got so many wonderful things to discover, and that starts in a car park on a cold sunny afternoon.

Before that James had called in the fish shop for dinner. While there a woman got talking to him and informed him that she only ate English food. No curries or pasta or pizza, and I just thought how sad that was. That you were so stuck in your ways you'd try nothing new.

Today [livejournal.com profile] sperrywink is my favourite, because we're plotting! Something fun, well we think so anyway *g*

Does England have a cuisine? LOL, I hear Americans talk about American food, but we're so diverse that that can include a lot of things.

Well, she said she'd eat fish and chips followed by apple pie and cream. I guess that's English cuisine *g*

I can't believe he's a teenager already, how time flies! I wish him a happy and unexciting teenage period :-)

There are definitely worse things than sunny afternoons, even if a bit cold, to see on your first day out in the world.

Yeah, that's really sad. And what a boring life it must be to only eat one sort of food all the time.

They're not, not really... I'm just a big ol' ball of stress - but I try not to think about it too much and just do whatever I can to support my dad. Plus my car was backed into at work again, so it's in getting fixed. And my laptop got that nasty trojan worm going around... yeah, good times. :)
