Mar. 11th, 2009 10:25 pmHow did I ever survive without Bob twittering to tell us what he's seeing in a mall thousands of miles away?
James hasn't been well today, so instead of going out like planned we stayed in. I'd like to say I got things done but I'd be lying.
I did do one more of the association memes. I know, I'm so productive I can hardly stand myself.
sperrywink asked about
Frank Iero -- Is Mikey Way's boyfriend. The end.
Springtime -- It's not my favourite season, that goes to autumn, but I do love spring. Yesterday I noticed the buds were on the trees, and that's so cool, you know? The trees sleeping over the winter, and then we hit spring and get fat sticky buds that grow and turn into leaves. There's something magical in that. I also love the flowers that start to appear, daffodils are my favourites and spring brings verges full of thousands of daffodils, so cheerful, their heads turned to the sun. Of course the spring sun also tends to show off the dust in my house, the high shelves that have been left for so long. For that Spring gets a slap on the wrist.
turloughishere -- I like I have a person associated with me. Does that mean I have my own posse now?
Turlough's one of my oldest online friends. I honestly can't remember when we met but it was due to popslash and we both slid heavily into bandom at the same time, which was very reassuring. We've very different people, even when we share pairings it's for different people. In trickyfish she likes Lance, I like Chris. For waycest I like Mikey, Turlough, Gerard. I know some of the fic I love leaves her cold and my fic sometimes skirts too close to being too angsty for her. We're also very different in our personal lives, too. Saying that, she's one heck of a friend, she's been there when I needed her, will always listen when I want to bitch and moan. She's excellent at discussing stories, is so talented at graphics and will share that talent as often as she can. Really, we have a friendship with a lot of agreeing to disagree, and it works. I know we have mutual respect, and even if she doesn't get why I love some people/stuff, she'll never put me down for doing so. &Turlough;
Jody's Song -- Oh, Chris. I love this song a lot and it'll always remind me of the time Chris did his April Fools show in Dallas, which wow, is 5 years ago. So many popslashers flew and drove to see him and I was reading accounts, of how it was this tiny show, so different to what he must have been used to with Nsync, but he was singing his songs. It's not my favourite of his solo stuff, but I do like it a lot.
Spencer Reid -- I only got into Criminal Minds in the second season, and it was due to Spencer. Living, the channel it plays on here, was playing these promos with the main characters talking. I saw Reid's and was like, hello! When I did watch I quickly discovered that Criminal Minds was a very smart interesting show and that I loved Spencer's character. The contrast between how smart he is and how socially awkward he can be is interesting to watch. I think he's afraid of a lot, especially ending like his mom. No doubt he's reduced those fears to percentages but under those is the very real emotion that mental illness is a possibility, and that has to be hard to deal with.
And all right. Frank. I like him a lot. I love that he's been with Jamia forever and that they always seem happy together. That he goes out and does what he wants, wears what he wants and is such a contrast in so many ways. I like that he's so energetic on stage, giving it his all and that he genuinely seems to like to talk to fans. I've read a few reports of people who've met him and they all say how he made them feel special, and that's such a great thing, because he doesn't have to take that time. Sometimes some of the things he says make me double take, especially his views about the internet. But then I end up charmed that in his blogs he's like someone ten steps behind everyone else in this big old online world.
