I was sent a white floppy hat! I don't know which one of you sent it, but I love it and have been swanning around in the garden just to test it out. Sadly it's windy and not actually sunny so I couldn't get the full effect, but I gave it a good go, peering into the greenhouse and pushing my way through the drying laundry. Thank you! ♥

Apart from rocking my new white floppy hat I've been watching footage. perspexsea is doing a MCR appreciation week and on the Mikey day the below clip was posted. The actual video itself is mottsey, but Mikey's hair. Oh my goodness. I can't look away!

I also ended up watching the MCR take over MTV show. Seeing that never gets old, Mikey saying how he died in GOY and the talking over each other and just, everything. &them;

Last night I was watching coverage from Glastonbury. Muse were amazing and I also enjoyed Matt Smith on stage with Orbital, doing an electro version of the Doctor Who theme tune . Very entertaining it was too.

You're welcome! Now you have to grow a rosebush, so that you can cut roses to put in a wicker basket, while you wear the hat and a long, floaty white dress. And then drink iced tea in the shade while handsome young gardeners do all the heavy lifting and digging.

(Why are our lives not like books and TV? I spent all yesterday morning cutting branches off the hawthorn tree, so that we can park the car without the tree trying to kill us. Both my arms are covered in scratches, and somehow I managed to lose the secateurs completely. Where are my handsome young gardeners, dammit?)

That is such a fabulous mental image -- and I actually tried on a long, floaty dress at the weekend, but it was black not white.

I suspect the young gardeners are the key here because in reality gardening is hard. Right now I have a sun rash and my fingers are all broken out due to all the watering, digging and pulling at grass. Handsome young gardeners should come along with gardens!

Mikey's head looks like a dandelion exploded all over him. This should not be as adorable as it is.

Hat! I ordered a MCR hat from the store and it was too large. :( And now it's too late to return it so I'm going to get another one and give this one away. Now I just need to find a MCR fan with a big head. [snerk]

[snortgiggles] See, I was assuming that a band that seems to carry merch for a fanbase composed entirely of twelve-year-olds would have sizes that meant small/medium would fit said twelve year olds, and large/xl would fit normal people. Except apparently they make their hats for the sub-sub-catagory of their fanbase that are six foot tall rugby players, I guess.

Stupid adorable tiny!Frank bouncing around rambling about hot and cold running girls, and Mikey with his fluffy hair and Old English Sheepdog eyes and sleeveless shirt and even Matt with his "I'm not even going to lean into the mike" relaxation and Gerard with his dorky "bring the party!" and Ray being...Ray. Urgh. BABIES. [facepalm] They grow up so fast.
