turpsI've just spent a long time rummaging through Buzznet. I usually go there for pictures but today I was checking out the videos, many performances, interviews and watching Mikey being sexed in to the bird boys gang later and I managed to pull free. I laughed at this video a lot, mostly because of Mikey and Ray's reaction to the guitar that's not being signed.
I've always liked the idea of a reverse big bang and reading about the one going on in the Supernatural fandom makes me want a bandom version even more. It's probably good that it doesn't exist though, my writing list is getting a little long.
Okay, granted, it doesn't take much, but Gerard is obviously the pimp, and Bob is not happy about this selling himself business, and while Ray's almost there he's not quite. Look at Mikey, boys, he's got the damaged soul who needs to sell his body to survive look down pat. Or, this could be a story where they're a higher class of hooker, ones that are booked in advance and Mikey is waiting for Pete. Gerard's still the pimp though.
I've just read the most delightful present day Mikey/Pete over at the porn battle. Airwaves byinlovewiththenight I enjoyed it so much. All I seem to be doing lately is telling people about stories I've enjoyed. If I was an organised person I'd make an actual rec post like turlough but the fact is, I'm not. My delicious is a mess and half the time I forget to tag my own stuff never mind keep track of actual recs. So you get them sprinkled into posts when I remember.
Corey's having a movie and pizza party at school as they break up for the summer on Friday, which means he won't be in for a few hours yet. I should get some writing done, or something productive at least. As fun as it is looking at pictures and videos doesn't get things done that need to be done.

I really wish someone would organise it.I have issues with hookerfic so I'm not discussing that but I do love that photoshoot SO MUCH!! It's so unashamedly theatrical! I've read the waycest, yeah, but not the others. The Mikey/Pete was really good and I have seen people talk about writing for the battle, but maybe they haven't posted yet?
I was horribly lazy until just after I posted. Then I had to do everything in a rush. Your day sounds much better.

Date: 2010-07-21 03:32 pm (UTC)I'm thinking that Frank is Gerard's second in command. As shown by how he's standing on the steps as opposed to lined up against the wall like Mikey and Ray.
He used to work the streets but after getting sick too often Gerard flat out told him no more, which pissed Frank off because Gerard was still sending his brother out so why not Frank? So they have this huge argument where they end up screaming at each other and Gerard saying if he had a choice there's no chance in hell he'd have Mikey working the streets but he's popular and brings in a lot of money and anyway, has Frank ever tried to tell Mikey no? And Frank would still be pissed except he knows Gerard's right -- especially as on chilly evenings Frank's chest burns with each breath, which is a problem when he's blowing someone or being fucked in a damp alley -- and eventually they come to an understanding where Frank takes over a bodyguard/enforcer role.
Which is why it's Frank that drives away anyone that tries to muscle in on their turf and Frank who walks at Gerard's side when he does his nightly walk through of the area and Frank who'll make coffee and distract Gerard when the others are out on jobs.
Really he's a cross between thug/housemother/nurse and Gerard couldn't do the job without him.
He's the one that'll tell Bob he's a fucking idiot for going off with two guys,even if the money was good, and the one who'll pass towels when Ray comes back to base and has to wash jizz out of his hair again.

He's usually given the role of heavy, which is understandable, but I think he'd just get on with things if he had to. I can imagine him coming back at the end of the night and handing over the money and there's a bit more than the usual and he'd casually say how some guy wanted to use this rope suspension thing and Bob had told him sure for an extra 100 and the others and just looking at him like he's insane because that's dangerous without someone being there to watch his back and Bob would just say he's more than capable of looking after himself before going off to shower.

The night Ray doesn't come back to their shared place, and Ray always comes back, he's the most reliable of them all and Gerard is guilt stricken because he had Frank go watch Mikey and Bob's joint job, but Ray insisted he'd be okay and now it's close to the next day and he's still not back.
So they start looking and eventually find out the john took him to this seedy hotel and Frank kicks down the door and finds Ray naked and handcuffed to the bed .

All he wants to do is talk to someone who doesn't know how screwed up he is, which is when he remembers a number he was given once, some high-class hooker operation and normally he doesn't pay but he's crawling out of his skin and desperate.
So he calls the number and is eventually given an URL to a website. Loading the site he sees that it's a list of all the escorts that work for Gerard along with their prices and what they will and won't do. Pete doesn't even check those, as soon as he sees Mikey he knows who he wants.
He calls up and makes an appointment to meet. He's a little put out that it won't be straight away but is informed he needs to be checked out. Which is why he meets Mikey for the first time the next day. Not that he expected everyone to be there, but as Gerard explains, Mikey's safety is the most important thing. Which Pete can get, especially when he's being distracted by Mikey's who's right there and the hottest thing Pete's seen for a long time.
They go to a diner that night. Pete talking as Mikey eats his body weight in pancakes while occasionally coming out with remarks that make Pete laugh, and keep talking. Still there as the sun rises and he has to reluctantly leave for the bus.

Dude I don't know about others but I kind of like the whole recs in the center of your awesome posts. It's like this awesome candy filling in the middle of a chocolate bar and seeing as I don't eat, you know, actual chocolate anymore this is a good plan to me.
