I'm sitting waiting for my washer to be delivered, and have an infected spot on my thumb right where it hits to type, and nanna just came to visit and asked why I wasn't wearing shoes indoors -- shoes indoors, she's lucky I wear them outdoors -- but none of this matters when pictures like this are there to be looked at.
Holy fuck, Mikey. As I said elsewhere, his face, his hair, his everything!

I'm just going to sit and gaze a while.

top 5 things about gardening you wish somebody had told you before you gave it a go
That you get invested in your plants. I had angst when my flowers were eaten by caterpillars, I fret that the Britney peppers still won't ripen, it's insane.
That I'd be eating courgettes every day for weeks and still they keep coming.
That it's hard work at times. What with watering, humping around soil, feeding, pruning, sometimes it seems so much simpler to go to the shops and buy the stuff.
That chives are the plants of the devil!
That gardening is awesome. Yes it's hard work, but watching things grow, plucking veg from the plant and eating it, that is all kinds of amazing.
top 5 panels you'd want to attend at a mutli-fandom con
The so-called heyday of fanfic and why it's a myth. Talk to a hundred fans in the same fandom and there's a big chance that they'll tell you a different time for golden age for that fandom, simply because that heyday is a personal thing that changes always. Wear your rose tinted glasses if you want but there's no guarantee you're thinking of the same period as that fan next to you with their rose tinted glasses.
Fannish terminology 101 -- aka, drabbles are always 100 words exactly!
H/C Lovers United. -- because I'd go and get loads of recs.
The Rise and Fall of the Vampire -- a panel about blood, sparkles and OTT sex scenes -- yes, I'm talking about you True Blood.
Crime Shows and why we love them: Secondary title. Why Greg and Reid rule always.
Top 5 moments from Mutant X on TV
Season On, Russian Roulette, where they blew up the factory/lab and they all walked out together. That's a defining team moment for me.
Lit Fuse, When Brennan was wandering Sanctuary reading Walt Whitman
I Scream the Body Electric. The exchanging of rings, or when Shal/Emma and Brennan/Jesse got married.
When Brennan told Jesse he loved him in No Exit.
When Jesse's powers go out of control and he phases the stairs and Brennan falls through. It's a tiny moment but it makes me laugh every time.
Top 5 moments from MX's virtual Season 4
The swimming pool scene. It made me laugh while providing important emotional moving forward.
Josh in the tree in ep 9. I was on the edge of my seat then.
The whole karaoke/meal scene in ep 4
Most of ep 6 when they're working their way through the traps in the maze.
Every mention of Jamie ever, which I know is cheating, but you started it!
ETA: I have a washer that works \o/

Date: 2010-09-06 04:52 pm (UTC)Poor ouchy thumb! Heal fast. But a working washer is a thing of beauty and a joy forever.
I wonder who took this shot.

Date: 2010-09-06 06:21 pm (UTC)I love my new washer, it counts down :D
I've been entertaining myself by thinking he took it himself with his laptop cam. Standing posing until he gets the perfect shot.

Date: 2010-09-06 12:14 pm (UTC)It is a FIIIIINE picture, it has to be said. (Don't you think the shadows make it look like he's got a bruise on his cheek and a black eye? Though I must say it doesn't make him less attractive ... rather the opposite, in fact ... lol)

Date: 2010-09-06 02:23 pm (UTC)Pictures like this, it's very obvious that his "pompadour" is just a squashed down version of Gerard's Crazy Bedhead Hair. [giggles] And I love the way the angle and the lighting gives him hollow zombie eyes.
I love the little details of the house and the door edging. It makes it feel like a really candid picture.
That hand tucked into his pocket is doing things to me. Nnnnnngh.
Oh, Mikeyway. What are you doing to us? [grins] Tell your damn brother to give us the fucking album already!

Date: 2010-09-06 05:34 pm (UTC)I have no idea who took the picture but I like to imagine it's from his laptop cam and he spent time arranging the angle and posting until it was just right.
The hand is killing me!
Seconded!
