oh man, the Giver! Where everyone lives in a Community and everything is controlled: weather, colour, sound, marriage, kids, etc. Your job is assigned at 12. Jonas gets assigned to be the Receiver, that is, he gets to receive and hold the world's memories, because they have to go somewhere. Memories of colour, music, sailboats...

Such a cool story.
