Okay, I'm going to write this with no caps lock at all, even when talking about Mikey's HAIR OF AWESOME!

First off, recs. krisipanics has posted her Pete/Mikey happyfic story The Light of a Fading Star It's beautiful and touching and I enjoyed it a lot.
Also, dancinbutterfly has posted a dust verse fic Turn On, Tune In, Drop Out. It's Mikey/Frank and I had the pleasure of alpha reading this, and believe me, it's amazing!

Second. There's been a theme in my last post of people wanting to squee with others in the post despite not knowing them. I'm all about comment conversations in my journal, but it was suggested that a friending meme should happen. Which this isn't, I'm not organised enough to have an actual friending meme, plus, there's a load of those around. Think of this as a very casual squee post.

So look alive dust babies, pick up your rayguns, toss your artfully tousled hair and strap on your masks and say na na na if you're up for squeeing with people about this band we love so much! All are welcome, talk about how Ray sucking his fingers is hot as all hell, how G Fett rocks the red hair, how Frank is an adorable badass and how Mikey should thump vending machines forever!

And if you find some friends in all that, fantastic.

There, my job is done. No more elbowing with sharp Mikey elbows!

Having had some bad news recently, I needed squee, and MCR have come up trumps. I LOVE this song!!!!! Definitely one to blast out loud in the car. I love the mixture of styles - the choral 'na na nas' in there are just amazing. And the video.... I have to go and have another watch as it went so fast that I haven't taken it all in, but I love the hair. Mikey! Frank! Gerard! Ray!

THIS. Mum and I have been tossing about the idea of putting some baby fine platinum highlights framing my face (to hide the whites that started coming in the week I turned 25 and have been pulling out for two years) and then dying them electric blue, but I've been holding off on it because, like, I'm 27, I'm too old for scene-hair (especially since I dress like a sexy-50's-librarian on a day-to-day basis). Today though I'm like, fuck yeah, where's the peroxide?

GEEWAY WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO ME? I swear I was a responsible adult before I got into this fandom.

I think you should totally do things with your hair and clothes! Go crazy, get some bright red dye or strap on a raygun :D

See, I've always loved Mikey's bird's nest hair days, so knew he could rock the blond, but he's been dark for so long that it's still a thrill to see such a drastic change. It looks amazing on him and I really hope they all have hq promo shots with these looks.

She does look like Ray's daughter! That so has to go into fic, Ray fighting alongside his daughter.

I had the bestest, most gleeful day at work today, with Na Na Na running on infinite loop in my head, especially since we got in new belts from Paris and I just know Gerard would love them all. Especially the rhinestone ones!

ALSO: my partner-in-musical-crime Andi was like, the biggest MCR fan ever, Revenge-era mainly, (back when she was scene, so before I knew her), but she hasn't really followed them for quite a few years now. Anyway, today I linked her the trailer via twitter, and her reaction was PRICELESS. I think I actually linked her to it just to watch her mind break. That's mean, right?

ALSO ALSO: I haven't been keeping up with the twitter shenanigans because of work, has Ray's character been figured out? And is Mini!Girl!Toro! meant to be his kid?

The thought of Gerard picking through the rhinestone belts is amazing! Also, that's not mean, you had to do it!

Nope. Shenanigans are still unclear, especially as the only agreement fandom seemed to have was Gerard was Dr Death Defying, which he's not according to the trailer. I still say he's role playing as him though due to the birthday greeting to Mikey.

They cast for an interesting looking kid in that casting call a few weeks back so I guess when mini!Toro came in they were straight on that but without prior plans for it to be his kid. I'd like to think it is though because that girl is awesome.

I've seen a few people making connections. It seems too much of a coincidence to dismiss out of hand.

Terri!! I'm pretty quiet about it but in general, I do not find Mikeyway physically attractive. Thankfully, physical attraction isn't even in the top 10 of reason why I choose to like someone. But... THIS MIKEYWAY IS HOT. :fans self: I was hit almost out of left field by the hot blonde Mikey HOTNESS.
