I picked up issues of Kerrang and NME today. After reading both I'm thinking about putting the giant poster on my kitchen wall -- I already have a Black Parade poster up there, it'll fit in nicely, and yes, I do feel like I'm revisiting my teen years -- and also gsf focussed on Ray and how the others enjoy his love handles. Because seriously, doughy love handles? >:( That's without the whole Mickey Way thing. I'm focussing on the pictures otherwise I'd be pissed I spent money on such a stupid interview.

I got an email saying mikeyway_daily's bandwidth was almost gone for the month, not good news considering the date. I went to check what had blown through the bandwidth and the biggest hog was the banner for the happyfic Pete/Mikey challenge. Which isn't surprising, but what is surprising is the sheer number of people viewing the posts using it.

The rest of the day consisted of going to the hospital with James to get his arm checked -- it's doing good, they went through an old scar which is healing nicely, but they want to wait another week for stitch removal and putting on a full plaster -- meeting the in laws for coffee and shopping, home to make and eat sausage casserole, and now I'm about to put on my pyjamas and read the flist/write. Or more probably, sit and think about body positive Ray centric gsf complete with the holding of love handles and licking of rounded stomachs.

Also, consider if I really need to download whole seasons worth of 21 Jump Street. The answer to that being, of course, yes.

Bleh, that doughy love handles thing pissed me off SO MUCH. And all their snarking at Gerard's weight. LITTLE KIDS WHO MIGHT WANT TO GROW UP TO BE DRUMMERS IN A BAND IN ANY ROLE WILL GET EATING DISORDERS, right Frank?

The interview as a whole annoyed me, the part about weight pushed way past annoyance to anger.

That they even brought up actual numbers astounded me, like weighing that much was as bad as the drug and alcohol issues Gerard had going on at the time.

As for Ray. That whole description was offensive.

I'm glad James's arm is doing okay. Hopefully it continues that way.

I really hope so. And that next week he gets the real cast on and we don't have to see the place for weeks.

Have you read the scans for the NME interview? They piss me off so much. I mean, in what world is saying someone has doughy loves handles an okay thing to do, especially in what's supposed to be an interview about the band and not that Gerard used to weigh much more than he does now.

That poster is so fabulous, you should totally put it up on your kitchen wall! (I have my gigantic MCR poster on the door to the bathroom where no one can possibly miss it :-) I read the comments on the entry that had the NME scans before I started reading the article so I knew not to bother.

The bandwith thing is not so good, but congratulations that so many people seem to like your challenge! (I'm glad I use my LJ scrapbook for mychemicalromance_daily, I would hate having to worry about bandwith.)

That's good news about James. I'm keeping my fingers crossed everything will continue to go well for him.

As for the NME article. I have so much dislike for that guy.

I stilll can't get away with scrap book. I mean, I do know how to use it but it's so complicated compared to photobucket. Though of course, ease of use doesn't help much when your bandwidth is gone. I wish I knew who was linking the picture away from LJ/DW, though.

Aw pumpkin! After reading the NME article last night I thought I got it up fast enough to save anyone from wasting their money on it :-( I'm not even all that jazzed about the photoshoot, which, seriously?

I know you've had hassles due to this so it feels a little weird replying. But, I wish I'd seen it too. The whole thing is so much fail, and I still don't understand the whole backdrop things.

i have an mcr map with all the kerrangs and magazines and posters haha the poster will go up in my proper home, not the shithole here....

ugh same. that's why i use the university internet a LOT haha. next monday i'll go over to the learning zone at like. 11 at night just so i can watch the concert at 3 XD i'm a freak. it's official. but i have no place where i can comfortably sleep anyway so i might as well have a good night for once

It sucks that you've no place to comfortably sleep, but if you're going to be up watching the streaming concert is the thing to do. I'm glad you're doing that, those kinds of things are always better watched with other fans, even if they're scattered around the globe.

yeah i'm having a listening party this tuesday with a friend when the album streams :) but she doesn't wanna stay up on monday - understandably! but yeah i have a snoring, loud, rude roommate, so mcr is definitely gonna give me more pleasure (oh i LIKE the sound of that haha) even though i'll be the freak sitting most likely alone in the learning zone at 3 am

I'm pretty sure the NME writers use the style of writing they do to be purposefully annoying. It's the main reason why I stopped buying it on a weekly basis >:( On the plus side, the pictures are pretty! /shallow

I have the NME one tagged in my account with the following summary: "Interview in which they spell Mikey's name wrong, call Ray fat, and tell you that Frank and Gerard are irritatingly pretty :/"

I didn't like it. The ending of that interview was kinda cool granted but the rest felt a bit mean. Like they were trying to find fault with them personally and it wasn't even about the music. /sigh

The angsty part of me is thinking up eating-disorder!Ray :( possibly with insecure!Mikey since he's always seen as the 'silent' one.

Also I haven't forgotten your happyfic challenge. I haven't heard back from the other author so I will have to make do with another idea. Unfortunately last weekend I had two sets of bad news: my grandfather has cancer and a close family friend passed away unexpectedly :( On top of that I'm sick. Which is all the more reason I need a happy fic. So fic is coming (slowly)!

That summary sums it up nicely. It was a mean interview, one that included cheap shots that weren't needed at all. I was reading the response by the guy who wrote the article and he was going on about how it was mostly about the music, and that's bull. It was mostly him making snide remarks.

I've always wanted good eating disorder fic. And I wouldn't say no to insecure!Mikey either.
