My intention to read all the fic in the world and catch up with other stuff has failed so far this weekend.
It was going okay yesterday, and then on the night our dog slipped somehow and managed to rip off two of his nails. All I heard was a huge thump, and then Tex going onto his cushion, where I soon found out he was bleeding badly. By the end of the evening the house was resembling a grisly crime scene, bloody footprints everywhere, on the carpet, round and round the kitchen, along the passage. Cleaning those up when I wasn't feeling that hot anyway wasn't fun at all. Then for added not funness, one of the cats puked on the sofa.
Calling the emergency vet she gave advice, which is how Tex ended up with a stump sock taped loosely around his leg. She said if he was younger we'd have had to take him in, but he's an old man, over 17, so he doesn't walk far. He's asleep right now, but I'm keeping an eye on him. And also asking for a do over on these last few days. Anyone able to make that happen?
ETA: Neighbour has been and finished fixing the fence. There are some very lovely people in this world.

Date: 2010-11-14 07:38 pm (UTC)Cleaning up the blood sucked. Especially as the top of the mop bucket had blown away so I was having to wring by hand.

Date: 2010-11-14 05:54 pm (UTC)He's a cross breed. Supposedly a yorkie/jack russle cross, in reality he looks like neither of those. So who knows?

Date: 2010-11-14 07:19 pm (UTC)Your entire family has been having a rough time of it, it seems, including the fuzzy faces. :( I hope everybody starts having an easier time of it and gets on the mend soon.
