Frank. My video experience was all about Frank.

Because I knew that they knew it was a suicide mission. I could tell by the look on Gee's face several times throughout the video. But Frank had a chance to go! And he didn't! So that Ray and Little Girl had a shot! Knowing he would go down for sure! I just . . . *sigh*

Alicia was my first thought too.

Is that why Party Poison couldn't shoot him? Korse used to be a Zone Runner, too?

Are the Killjoys now going to be like Korse, Borg-like, resistance is futile, you will be assimilated? Or will BLI re-animate and not be able to control them?

Also - the subliminal BLI "adverts" were pretty cool at the beginning. I had to search to find them. Creepy slogans!

Oh man. That is a cool and very creepy theory.

Korse as a Borg Queen figure and the Dracs/creepy white things the collective. Assimilation does seem to fit with their whole deal with having a monopoly on goods and services. White instead of dark.

I'd like to think the Killjoys would be uncontrollable. I don't think they're dead, it's just how they come back D:

For some reason this vid seems to me really Frank/Mikey.

Because I mean I could predict Mikey trying to save Gerard, but I didn't actually see the Frank part coming. Frank doesn't want to be where Mikey and/or Gerard is not?

The end was really powerful. Ray got so close to making it. So close. But then he'd have been without the other three and that would have been horrible too.

Okay, my theory:

Korse is dead. Hence his weird like, vacuum chamber thing. Jimmy dead. And Gerard recognizes him when he kills him, all horrified, which is why he doesn't fight back when Korse grabs him, because he's just killed his friend (thinking back to Dr.D's comments about "all my friends in the war. All of them" from the broadcast). And so they're dead, like Korse, but I don't think we've seen the last of them, and I think the next video will be basically, this little girl and the team (Grant's wife driving the van from what I heard!) will come back and try to save them all. Or maybe somehow fix it so they're not animated corpses, or that they get their minds back or whatever.

But oh man, this video, and it's fierceness, and all of them, going down in a blaze of glory, and gah, Ray Toro in an eye patch. It's like, shot up his hotness quotient by like, 20.

And Frankie and Mikey, my heart, man, my heart. Wow. And Show Pony and Dr. D. being all badass at the end, too. Gah.

I'm enjoying talking theories so much.

Yours makes so much sense, especially tying in Korse's chamber thing and Jimmy and then how Gerard doesn't fight back. The shock must have been paralysing.

I do think they're going to start the next video as Dracs or under some kind of control, but I also think it'll end up well with them escaping. They've played with our emotions for these two videos, there has to be a happy pay off in the end.

YES! Hotness all around. The fact that they're prepared to die for each other. Their strength is amazing, they knew it was a suicide mission going in, they had to.

They've all got their stand out moments. Gerard and Korse, Mikey trying to avenge his brother, Frank and the door. Ray. So close!

I'm glad that Show Pony and Dr D got their own bad ass moments.

I love the video. I really should make a proper post about it. The lighting! I could go on about the lighting at great length. Like how at the beginnning there is a shot where the lighting mimicks the spider design that's been appearing on the Killjoys stuff and how the way they light the two videos works together to continue the story. SING and NaNaNa blend together into a single video rather beautifully. I really want to know what the third single/video is going to be.

I'm not really convinced they're dead. I know I've been assuming "ghosted" and "dusted" were interchangable slang for "killed" but after this (especially after the Gerard ripping the mask off scene) I'm wondering if "ghosted" has a different meaning than "dusted". Perhaps "ghosted" means re-assimilated into BLI and S/C/A/R/E/C/R/O/W to become a draculoid? There's at least one old sci-fi book that works with that premise (title is escaping me right now unfortunately) and I wouldn't be surprised to see it popping up in Dust'verse.

Speaking of old sci-fi I am still incrediably gleeful at how many references/homages/shout-outs I can see to various sci-fi tropes/books/comics/etc. I can see bits from "The Sheep Look Up","Blade Runner" and "1984" just to name a very few.

I'd love to see a real post from you about this. Understandably most reactions have been about the end but the video as a whole is gorgeous. Which is what helps with the gut wrenching ending. Because the arc is unfinished right now, and I can't wait to see how they resolve things.

I think you're right. Ghosting could be like the cybermen from Doctor Who a little. People being modified into something new. Soldiers for BLI, which is damn creepy, but makes a lot of sense.

I do think the kid is going to have a huge part to play in the next one.
