I'm back!
The new computer is in. Still feels a bit weird, the keyboard is laid out slightly different, which means I keep hitting the wrong keys. I don't know if I like XP, everything is arranged in a different way to ME, and it's taking me a while to get used to finding my way about.
The screen is bigger and *much* brighter than Blue2's, I'm on the verge of getting eye strain because of the glare. The installation went pretty well, just a few arguments, mostly because of the damn e-mails which wouldn't install properly. And questions like, 'why is it taking over 30 minutes to transfer your story folder?' and 'do you really need so many video files?' fun stuff like that when James saw exactly what was on there *g*
But in all we're getting there. A lot of stuff's still on disc, all my backed up mails etc but it's just time now to get everything to how I like it.
What I do like is you can have multiple identities. So James, Corey and I will all have our own. That means when family want to use the computer I'll log them in on a 'safe' identity. No worrying about them seeing things they shouldn't *g*
Off to read my friends list now...

Date: 2003-10-03 11:22 am (UTC)I'm calling him Silver. Yes, another colour but he's so beautiful and sleek, all silver and black, so it fits. I wanted to call him Chris, but with that being my brother's name that felt a bit weird *g*

Date: 2003-10-03 11:23 am (UTC)True, I like it now that I know where everything is, but man, is it different to what I'm used to.
But I think Silver and I are going to get on just fine.
