Claiming at
no_tags was nerve-racking. I didn't get the prompt I had my eye on, but did get one that's very workable. Also, so many amazing prompts are on there. I can't wait to read them.
Corey went back to school yesterday and James to work. Corey also asked if I'd get him up at half six from now on so he'd have time to do his hair. Half six. It's only half an hour before I get up anyway, but that 6 instead of a 7 makes it feel like the middle of the night. Still, it does let me get a jump on the day, get James' bait ready before he gets up. Who knows, with this time I may actually get caught up online at some point.
I found the below in a draft email ( I always write posts in email and then copy/paste them to DW/LJ ) and wondered why it was there for a few moments, then remembered that some people had an addition to their writing meme that asked what 5 scenes from their fic they'd like to see illustrated.
Tints verse -- Frank in gum boots, dungarees and coloured bangs. Gerard drawing as he's sitting on sink
When Day Is Night Alone - Kitchen scene where Pete's sitting on counter, Mikey standing between his legs. Brendon making snow angel with Jon watching. Brendon getting his hoodie in the clothes room.
Sound Tracking -- Gerard reaching out to Mikey in the cage when they first find him. Frank in zero gravity. Bob in the pilot seat of his craft
Standing on the Grave on Dreams -- Everyone sitting on house steps as Gerard shows off his drawings. Ryan getting to pick from Frank's books, also, very much cheating but in the story I'm writing now from that verse Ryan spends a lot of time reading in a window seat. I have that picture in my mind very clearly.
Sing the Revolution -- Gerard dressing Mikey
Which is obviously way beyond 5 scenes, but those were the ones that popped into my head. Especially the first and last.
In other writing news. My MCR/Bob killjoys GSF is now at 35k with 5 scenes left to write. But more importantly, there is now S in the GSF, S that I'm actually pretty proud of. Finish that during this week and no_tags at the weekend. That's doable, yes? /o\

Date: 2011-01-05 09:36 pm (UTC)Half six???!!! That's inhuman! If he wants to get up at such a horrible hour he should wake himself up!
I would love to see both of those scenes from Tints 'verse!
Sex is achieved, go you!!! Though 5 scenes left to write? That sounds like at least another 15k to me with the way you write these days ;-)

Date: 2011-01-05 10:25 pm (UTC)I agree with you in theory, but in practice Corey takes after his dad, neither of them can wake up to an alarm, so if I didn't get up they'd both sleep on and miss work/school.
Yeah, me too. I often wish I could draw, but sadly I can't. So I just those pictures in my head.
Don't say that! I want it finished already.

Date: 2011-01-06 01:49 am (UTC)My suggestion is -- if Corey is old enough to want an extra half hour to do his hair, he's old enough to get himself up. Get him a cheap alarm clock, and he can be up and in control of the bathroom while you get that extra 30 minutes of sleep. If he sleeps through the alarm -- he's still in bed when you wake up at your normal time -- then his hair only gets combed that day, not "done".
But then, I'm a mean older sister. ;)

Date: 2011-01-06 01:24 pm (UTC)I don't want him to be late for school, but at the same time, I'd like my half hour back. That way if he does sleep through all that'll happen is a lack of hair straightening.
I like your idea a lot. Thanks for that.

Date: 2011-01-07 04:04 pm (UTC)You're welcome. I didn't see the comment above -- that Corey and James sleep through alarms. But if he wants his hair straightened bad enough, he'll learn to pay attention to the alarm. And he'll have a useful skill for when he's out on his own.

Date: 2011-01-06 10:39 am (UTC)This is what happens when I'm kept away from the internet for extended periods of time; I miss vitally important information like the fact that you're writing more SotGoD. ::makes grabby hands::
If I could draw, I'd draw you all the SotGoD's art in the world. Alas I can only draw technical schematics and maps. :-(

Date: 2011-01-06 01:20 pm (UTC)I wish I could draw too. It's so sad making my lack of ability.

Date: 2011-01-05 07:29 pm (UTC)Thank you for the holiday card :) I'm sorry I didn't get mine done this year. Er, last year. Whatever, you know what I mean. I think I should start writing them out now, to send for the holidays this year.
Huh. That's actually not a bad idea.
*smooch*

Date: 2011-01-05 08:06 pm (UTC)That's awesome that you're so organised. Obviously there needs to be a one day challenge for you *g*
I wish I had any artistic talent. Sadly I have none at all.

Date: 2011-01-06 02:37 am (UTC)now though it's making me want to host a fest were people write threesomes/GSF/Moresomes...etc and the rarer the better.
It's more like prompts where being posted at 7AM and I woke up to snag a prompt and stayed up too long because prompt snagging was vicious. Simply Vicious. so I went to lay down at 8 and couldn't sleep and at 10am I went ahead and gave up the ghost and got up and wrote it out.
And the moment there is a one day challenge and I sign up for it will be the moment nothing wants me to write it. *g*
&hearts&
I'm sure you can pester someone to draw it for you

Date: 2011-01-06 01:35 pm (UTC)I want your brain. Mine works too slow.
no subject
Date: 2011-01-06 08:49 pm (UTC)sometimes I don't think mine works fast enough. It lags and doesn't want to write when I want it to(which ok is understandable because I'd prefer to be writing like 90% of all of the time)

Date: 2011-01-06 09:39 pm (UTC)Dude, you write so much if that's your brain lagging it would be scary at full speed.

Date: 2011-01-05 11:18 pm (UTC)I'm just this minute complaining to you in email about the story. I'd say it was fate if we didn't tend to meet at this time anyway *g*

Date: 2011-01-05 11:23 pm (UTC)LOL You know one day I might surprise you and actually emerge from my post-work coma at a reasonable time of the evening. Today, however, is not that day. I shall go stalk the gdoc and await your email ♥

Date: 2011-01-05 11:40 pm (UTC)Email has been sent, though truthfully there's not that much complaining. Unless you count the implied, OMG!Whydoineedtowritemoresex!?
As for the stalking, I think it's nothing but filler since the last time you read /o\

Date: 2011-01-06 04:17 pm (UTC)no_tags sounds very interesting this year. I can't wait to see what you end up writing. AND WOO HOO! Congrats on the S addition to your GSF! *highfives* I knew you could do it!
I wish I was better at drawing people, because it would be so much fun to illustrate your stories.

Date: 2011-01-06 04:24 pm (UTC)My story is at the point where it needs more S. Sadly vital to the plot or else I'd fade to black. I see a lot of staring at the file in my future.
I'm so impressed by anyone that can draw. Sadly I have no talents in that direction at all, you're a million times better than me.

Date: 2011-01-07 02:45 pm (UTC)(and dude, SO excited about the GSF. I feel like I almost have unresolved sexual tension with the fic)

Date: 2011-01-07 02:53 pm (UTC)Ahahaha. Oh man, I've been writing the second big sex scene this afternoon and right now poor Frank's lying with his legs spread about to be finger fucked by Bob while the others watch.GSF logistics are tricky!

Date: 2011-01-16 10:43 pm (UTC)Corey and his hair makes me laugh. His flat irons have pride of place on his drawers *g*
