Forgot to say that last night I ended at the Nifty archives. I'm finding that I love laughing at badfic, some annoys me, but some are so bad I just read and laugh. Okay, that's nasty, but man, some of the stories should *never* be published. FFNet and Nifty have to my guilty pleasures, with Nifty being FFNet's perverted older sibling. Like FFNet not everything is bad at Nifty, I've read some okay stuff, but what annoys me is there no explanations about what each story is about. They're grouped into categories such as actors/boybands/tv shows/kink/lesbian/gay etc etc, One thing I have to say for the place, every kink you can think of is there, even if it's unreadable garbage. Not that I would ever read such things ;)

So you pick a category and are faced with a list of story names. That's all. Some may be explanatory, 'Kevin and his twink' for example. ( Yes that's a real title) but most aren't. It's potluck what you find. I started reading a Blue story. ( Blue is a Brit boyband) and was excited as I'd been looking for one for a while. You don't want to know what results you get when you plug 'Blue' and 'slash' into Google. It's a shame it was rubbish. Badfic, it both annoys me and makes me lol.

And it's still bloody freezing!

Don't be embarassed, I did the same thing too a year ago when I was still a Blue fan. ;) Ended up at Nifty too. We probably read the same fic, lol!

I'm not so much a Blue fan as someone who thinks they look good and on days when there's nothing new to read in my fandoms I go looking for slash about anybody I can think of *g*

It probably was the same story, it's not that there's many about *g* The one I found was terrible, and I've given up now, lol.

NIfty is a weird place. If you go don't expect to find many good stories. They're not really written by slashers, which sounds weird, but what I mean is slash writers tend to hang in groups, be fans who know about beta's etc, even if they don't use them. The writers at Nifty seem to be people who just decide to write one day. Most are jerk off fantasies written down, which is fine if you want that sort of thing ;)

The archive is here (http://hotrod.nifty.org/nifty/). It's organised into gay, lesbian, bi, trans and bestiality ( don't ask) then sub categories from there. My biggest annoyance is there's no summary of each story. So you have to guess based on title only.

But if you feel brave one day check it out *g*
