I spent last night watching Eurovision along with James and a big chunk of my twitter list. As always it was the company that made watching so much fun, laughing along with the comments and observations. I'm still not sure how the song that won did so, but that doesn't matter, as a day later all that's stuck in my head are gnome hats, backless shirts, kinky boots and sand painting.

If My Chem were holed up in Carlisle watching I'd like to think their attention was caught by the backless shirt, because really, they could make it work. And I have to admit, after seeing Jedward I spent a while wondering if Mikey's hair would look like theirs if it were spiked up.

I'd also watched Panic on the live stream earlier, which was frustrating because every time Brendon swore the BBC would cut the feed to apologise. If they do the same for My Chem tonight we're going to lose a lot of watching time.

I finished my first bbb edit last night, though I need to go re-read as I did the very last part while watching Eurovision, so the quality may be suspect.

Later James wants to start getting the stuff ready for his trip. He's not going away for nearly a fortnight but I'll be away myself for a big chunk of that time so he wants to get a start. He's also at work today so I'd better go wake him up already.

ETA: I've been catching up on my flist and many of you have threads in the You Are Beautiful' love post. Usually I'd reply individually but this time I'm giving out a blanket wave of love. I don't read on a filter so I read every post you guys post, and that's why I know that you are all amazing. Daily I read how strong you all are, how funny and creative and you all shine like the beautiful people you actually are ♥ always.

Eurovision was pretty entertaining, even though I never saw a single minute of it on TV. :D

I'm more than sure that Gerard might have sketched a design or two. Ahem.

Sadly, I missed out on the Eurovision and it took me forever to watch My Chem on the BBC. I seriously was fangirling so hard during their set that I thought my laptop was going to fizz out. Hee!

:-D Yeah, we watched it last night too, to get to make fun of Euro-trash-pop. And when Azerbaijan started getting all these points, we could't even remember the song. :-P Now we were obviously kind of rooting for Jedward, even though, I've got to say, the Moldovian hat wearing group was kind of cool. At least they brought something that made fun of the whole thing while partaking in the madness ;-) Oh Eurovision. As one of my friends, who is gay was saying, it's probably the one night straight people cave under the peer pressure of mostly gay people around and camp it up.
- He also had the greatest comment on the Swedish guy: "It's one of those people where you don't know if you want to fuck them or hit them. Hmmm, maybe both at the same time..." :-P It was a fun evening!

Really, BBC. Ugg. It's not like people don't swear on TV and broadcasting a Rock show... I wonder who the poor person is that gets to press that button every time?! :-D

Ohh, bbb :-) Yay!!!!!

Have a good week!!

Yeah, me too. I could still only vaguely remember it when they performed it again. Which is how I'm so surprised it won.

I loved Molodovia! They were crazy in the best Eurovision way, and rocked those hats. As for Jedward. No one can say they're not enthusiastic *g*

Ahahahaha. Yes.

Ugg. It's not like people don't swear on TV and broadcasting a Rock show

It was so annoying. Also stupid because as it was live the swearing was broadcast and then someone had to push the button to bring up the apology screen up for a while. And really, he said fuck, we all heard it, now put the show back on.

Thank you!

They are! Just watch the main stage stream here (http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/bigweekend/2011/)

Sadly I'm not sure of the time. They're the second last act before Lady GaGa so it should be latish. Hmmm, Sky has her going on at nine, so manybe 8ish for MCR.

No worries at all :)

There's a Ustream here (http://www.ustream.tv/channel/ivc-show) but it seems to be jumping between all the stages and not sticking to one :(

Thank you! I think they did a pre-show interview, or something, because American(s) on Tumblr are talking about watching it, but the feed itself says they aren't on till 7:45pm... O.o But! I get to watch them, so thank you so very much for the link! ♥

Yeah, there was. Sadly I missed it though, so I'm hoping it's going to end up on the I Player eventually.

You're welcome! I'm very excited just now. I even squeed a little seeing their gear brought onto stage *g*

The BBC thing was so frustrating. It cut so much time once all the swearing had been dealt with.

I couldn't face watching it this time (certainly not without alcohol!) but I did look at Jedward on YouTube as I assumed, quite rightly, that their performance would be something special. Ireland certainly had a good idea in using them - we always fail by trying to take Eurovision seriously. Hmmm... if you put a load of crack!writing fangirls together in a room for 24 hours they would probably come up with the ideal song, group, costumes and staging for Eurovision. It sounds to me as if you must embrace your duty for 2012 at Camp Sparkle. The UK's reputation is depending on you!

I enjoyed Jedward, they were just the kind of act Eurovision need. In fact, we watched all the acts again at Camp Sparkle, really it's the kind of show made for good friends, alcohol and taking the piss.

We really should have write our own song, we'd have rocked it!
