Jun. 9th, 2011 05:18 pmToday has been a very good day.
I had breakfast at the park, eating next to the lake where we watched hundreds of ducks and a large group of swans. Then we drove to the coast and had a mocha at the ocean side cafe. Then went to see The Hangover 2, which was better than I was expecting, then came home to three BBB stories that I really want to read.
Also,
kin_you_bi is all kinds of wonderful and wrote domestic Frank/Mikey comment fic based on my comments yesterday where I wanted a story where Frank's happy in his own skin. And it's delightful comment fic, with pets and beard nuzzling and outside characters used in a lovely way and did I mention beard nuzzling? *____* If that's your kind of thing, go give her some love.
Before I go, I saw an advert I've been enjoying lately while I was at the cinema. As an owner of four cats, the idea of them having opposable thumbs is slightly terrifying.
But now, shower then an evening of reading and watching the Kerrang awards on tv, though sadly they don't seem to be live.
ETA: Having just watched a clip of JC singing TIPY with Richard Marx I was reminded of a conversation I had with James at the beachfront cafe. Before he went to work last night we were watching a programme about spit roasting, to clarify, the kind you do with meat. Anyway, we were sitting in the cafe and he randomly remarked that I'd like to read JC and Mikey spit roasting. Which was random, mind-blowing to think about, but also shows that he still doesn't know my favourite person from Nsync.
But also. JC. TIPY. My heart ♥
ETA2: Just fell down the sparkly rabbit hole of You Tube there, and the 2000 VMA performance remains made of awesome. But no more, shower then reading, maybe one look at the squirrel pants

Date: 2011-06-09 04:46 pm (UTC)Well, if Lancecat had opposable thumbs he could at least open his own doors instead of demanding that I do it for him all the time ;-)
Sounds like you have a great night planned. Personally I'm going to continue catching up on my reading list and then I'm going to see if that Killjoys BBB is any interesting.

Date: 2011-06-09 04:51 pm (UTC)Hmmm, I guess that's true. They could also feed themselves, that would cut down a lot of time. Though Tinker would get even fatter *g*
Oh, I forgot about that story being posted yesterday. My to-read list is spiralling like crazy.

Date: 2011-06-09 09:14 pm (UTC)::blushes lots:: I'm still debating whether I should post it or not. Or even where I'd post it. I've never posted to an actual comm for bandom, just lurked about people's journals like a lurking lurker. Maybe just up on my journal and then notify the newsletter?

Date: 2011-06-11 12:52 am (UTC)The comment fic was, in a word, faboooo!
Due to writing like a loon, I'm just bookmarking all of the BBBs that ping my attention until I have more time to enjoy reading them (like, in early fall. *facepalms*)

That's always a balancing act, wanting to write and read. I'm telling you, we need more hours in the day.

Date: 2011-06-11 05:35 pm (UTC)It was good to see JC sing, but he should do more of it.
BBBs are the best! I've been indulging today and have done nothing productive at all.

Date: 2011-06-11 05:37 pm (UTC)No blushing! I love that comment fic so much, you don't even know. You really should post it for real, and then either notify dot comms or else announce at bandslashmania. Both would work.
Go for it. The world needs more good Frank/Mikey fic.

Date: 2011-06-09 05:17 pm (UTC)I don't begrudge him doing what he wants, but it's a crying shame that he seems to have ruled out singing. I really hope he changes his mind one day.
