I've been reading Pete Wentz vs the World this afternoon, and it was so much fun. I really enjoyed the way they used multi media to present the story, and I grinned often as I was reading.

Since BBB started posting I've also read and enjoyed Sing Me Something That I Can Understand by arsenicjade, which has the Ryan of my heart and MJ's Not the Only One With a Man in the Mirror by desert_neon.

Plus, I have so many others lined up to read. I love BBB season so much.

Yesterday I ended up not!ficcing in comments with dr_jasley and now am very tempted to flesh out what we have for one of the h/c bingo squares. Because robot!hooker Mikey/Frank fic *____* Of course if I do give in to temptation and write that it means 2011 will be the year of Frank/Mikey hooker fic for me, but at least this will be robot hooker fic.

I'm off to make hot chocolate and get ready for more reading, but while I'm doing that, tell me, what BBBs have you enjoyed so far? Or if you haven't read any yet, what are you looking forward to reading?

You've been reading a lot already. I've only read two, Should You Choose To Remember and Angels From the Neon. The first one was delightful, both fun and a little scary, and with a nice twist to the angel mythos. The second one was quite entertaining with a nice take on the Killjoys universe but I don't think I can buy the Gerard characterisaton. I liked how Mikey and his relationship with Gerard was written though.

I have, but there's still so much I want to read. It's going to take a long time to get them all done.

I have both of those tabbed, so it's good to know they're worth reading. But now of course I don't know which one to pick after I've finished Away With the Boys in the Band. Though I suspect it'll be so late by the time I do that it'll be tomorrow when I start on the next one.

They're on again tomorrow, one of those things where they pick favourite videos, but the show is on for 3 hours. No way can I keep it on the DVR once I've watched.

I bet it will. Are there any stories you're not planning on reading? For me things have been very slow this year. I bet all the interesting-sounding stories are going to be posted together in the last week! *sulks*

The angel story is better but it has almost no Mikey in it so you will probably enjoy the Killjoys story more.

I've no plans to read the Panic kidfic that was posted. Kidfic isn't something I'd look for anyway, and when it's not for one of my favourites it gets kicked right off the list.

PW vs the World looks awesome! I love Scott Pilgrim. <333! I've read the Panic highschool rugby sequel, which was adorable, but I think that's the only one because I keep getting overwhelmed with the volume of stuff being posted and end up reading nothing.. haha. I'm indecisive. :P

But yeah, the fic is so good. I loved it a lot.

The volume of stories is a little overwhelming, especially if you read multiple bands. My to-read list is ridiculous.

DUDE YOU KNOW MY RESPONSE THAT THAT IS.....YES, YES YOU SHOULD SO WRITE THAT. YOU KNOW YOU WANT ROBOT HOOKER FIC. especially since it has Mikey/Frank. Plus think about all the hurt...and the eventual comfort you could have. And I will enable you all you need. If there's a scene from FBI Verse you've been wanting to see I will try to write it. It's a really good story, a lot of fun to read.

Both of those are in my list to read. I'm glad you enjoyed them.

\o/ Also, if I did write it I think there has to be certain other characters left behind in the robot brothel. Ones that are going through a hard time too.

The only thing I'm wondering at is how to get Gerard into the picture. Because a story that features Mikey without Gerard being around is unthinkable.

well if you want it to get vast maybe robot Mikey wasn't always a hookerbot. Maybe he was built and stolen and reprogrammed. And....well I could say more but I don't know if you like that idea or not

So what if Gerard(however many years ago you want to set it) was lonely and built a robot brother. Emotion systems were never his strong point so Mikey's kind of :| even if he does feel and understand emotion.

Then one day Mikey vanishes and Gerard looks and looks, but can't find him anywhere and sort of falls into a slump afterwards. All his credits are spent on searching until he's broke and having to find odd jobs that will hire him on so he can have credits to survive and continue to try and look when he's not working.

Perhaps the prostitute robot industry went through a phase where the suppliers of robot parts went on strike so they were stealing already built robots, wiping their memory files(perhaps everything but Mikey's name which he rarely if ever tells anyone*he's his number..not some random name that keeps popping up in his files like some sort of corrupted code* was wiped), and refitting them for the sex rings.

This is prolly why the emotion chip is causing a problem with the circuitry and internal systems when Bob's trying to upgrade Mikey. Gerard's subpar emotion software*also outdated technology* and the reprogramming/wiping/refitting making things difficult.

And maybe, Maybe Gerard knows Bob by accident and he's down on his luck again. So after Mikey's fixed and Frank is all :) and they're dealing with Mikey dealing with emotion in an almost :| way, Gerard shows up(because Frank's staying with Bob right now...since he has nowhere else to go yet) to see Bob prolly for a place to crash for the night. He sees Mikey and freaks.(cue more hurt and angst)


and yeah.....that's all I got*at the moment* :D

I've been following BBB but so far what's been posted hasn't really been of interest to me, much to my dismay. I'm not really in the Panic fandom at all, and one of the only two Frank/Gerard fics that I've seen posted was dustverse (another fandom I'm not super into, shockingly), so I'm not-so-patiently waiting for more. I did read More Than You Could Ever Know (http://bandombigbang.livejournal.com/116682.html) by moku_youbi and got a kick out of that, and also read dear_monday's Should You Choose to Remember (http://bandombigbang.livejournal.com/117022.html) and liked that one a lot. I've been hemming and hawing over reading Man in the Mirror; I'm very anti-Bert and have been for years, so I tend to avoid fics featuring him as more than a background/past character. I'd love to see some more Frank/Gerard pop up, but I have no idea how long posting for this actually goes on. It's my first time paying more than the most absent of attentions to BBB (I've been out of bandom for over three years now and only got back into it this year).

I fully and wholeheartedly back up this idea of Frank/Mikey robot!hooker!fic. One hundred percent! :D

Yeah, I know I'm lucky in that while MCR is by far my favourite, I also love reading stuff from the others bands, so I've had a lot more choice that some people.

I know piratesunk has a posting date for tomorrow and she always writes good Frank/Gerard. So hopefully you'll have something to read soon.

I have both More Than You Could Ever Know and Should You Choose to Remember on my to-read list, so am glad you enjoyed them both.

While Bert is featured in Man in the Mirror, he's not front and centre, that's very much Gerard and the things he's going through. It's well written and engaging and I was rooting for both Gerards. I liked a lot.

Oh, Frank/Mikey robot!hooker!fic. It's rooted into my brain now, and Jasley isn't helping *g*

It is a lot of fun, very much in the style of a video game, but there's some Mikey/Pete moments that had me heart-eyed.

The thing about Bert is that so much of the reaction comes from stuff we don't have the full story for, and then our own usage of that in the fandom. I think maybe we haven't moved past stuff that the Real People have. And that was a big reason I tried to write him as fully fleshed out as I did, because he's so often the stereotypical villain, which just perpetuates that.

I've definitely enjoyed the Man in the Mirror one (and I'm terrible, because I don't think I've left comments on that one, yet) and Dear Monday's, and the elf one.

I'm sort of a single fandom girl, though, is the problem. I most likely won't read panic or most of the FBR bands unless they have the MCR guys prominently in them.
