30 Days of Fanfic Day 11

The boot sale went very well today. It was a gorgeous day and we got rid of a lot of stuff and made money,so a win all around. I like doing that sale as it's in a field by the sea so the view is beautiful and there's always something interesting to see. It's just a shame it meant getting up so early. Also, that despite applying sun lotion I'm now sporting the nifty reverse panda look with white eyes and red forehead, nose and cheeks.

Now some pimping. It's time for the third annual Mikeyway_daily planet awesome challenge! For new people we run a graphics contest twice a year at the comm ( graphics this time, icons later in the year ), and now it's time for the first one. While there are prizes we try to keep it an easy going contest, so if you're worried that your skills aren't up to scratch, join anyway. I like to think we're a friendly bunch at mikeyway_daily and we love to see any graphics featuring Mikey.

Day 11 of the fanfic meme.

Day 11 -- Genre – do you prefer certain genres of fic when you're writing? What kind do you tend to write most?

I'm very tempted to say no, that I don't prefer any genres but I suspect no one will believe me.

H/C is my favourite and has been since the very beginning. I love to write long, plotty, h/c filled stories that I can sink my teeth into and I do write them the most. Saying that, I do write other kinds and enjoy doing so. I like humour and more light-hearted stuff, and while I don't write it as often, I will attempt a pwp every ten years or so. But mostly it's h/c.

And now I think I need to sleep, flist catch up/emails will have to wait yet again.

The boot sale went very well today.

Awesome! We keep talking about doing a car boot sale, but never getting around to it, ^^; I really should sort it out while the weather is nice!

Car boot sales can be awesome and great in that you get rid of excess stuff and make money. On the other hand, it's a lot of work and the dealers are annoying, they're people who do it week after week and as soon as you get your spot they're swarming for the best stuff.

Yep. The earliest stories I found were all h/c and it just stuck. In fact, my first slash fic I read was a Tom Paris n/c. I read it and was addicted from then on.
