Getting a scene done today was like pulling teeth. Not helped that I suspect my pacing is starting to go wrong. But I got it done in the end, so that's that.
It's also apparently national kiss day. In honour of that I'm including one of my favourite video clips, where Gerard licks his brother's chest starting at around 0:30. Which okay, is not a kiss but it counts. Sort of. I'm sure they kissed after the show.
I like kissing in fic, it's a shame that theme memes seem to have died out because a kiss meme would have been lovely for today. Morning kisses and late night ones just before you go off to sleep. Kisses at airports and behind stages and lying on the grass under a hot sun. Hand kisses and forehead kisses and gsf kisses and the virtual kind that shows someone is thinking of you even if they're on the other side of the world. XXX
It's Corey's parent's consultation tomorrow, at 8:45. Why that early I have no idea, except they obviously want to torture us.
You know what's coming, more 30 days of fanfic meme.
14 -- Ratings – how high are you comfortable with going? Have you ever written higher? If you're comfortable with NC-17, have you ever been shocked by finding that the story you're writing is G-rated instead?
I have written up to NC-17, but it's always a battle to get there. I wish I could write sex scenes easily but I really can't. Damn prudish fingers, if they matched up with what I saw in my head I'd have no problems at all. Most of my higher rated stories tend to be hard R for stuff like descriptions of injuries. Now that kind of high rating is something I have no problem with at all. Someone getting stitched back up, I can write thousands of words dedicated to that, someone being fucked? I'm Victorian aunt Terri.

Date: 2011-07-09 12:25 am (UTC)A parent consultation is just where we go and talk to his teacher and see how he's done this year. Which meant that yet again we go and be told the same things, he's been consistent from the start of school in terms of grades, behaviour, attendance etc.
