I love Mikey in that one. Something about it's just really captivating. He just looks like an ORDINARY GUY, not a rock star, and it's...lovely. I'm not explaining this well. /o\

What I've noticed is that while Mikey tends to wear the same kinds of outfits both performing ( stage/interviews etc ) and day to day his 'real life' t-shirts always look just a bit baggier and well loved, like they're something he's had in his closet forever. Which this one does and his hair is more casual instead of the sex fringe or pushed back severely.

And now I've revealed I take too much interest in Mikey's clothing choices. I'd read the hell out of the vampire bodyguard story!

Yeah, you can picture him just hanging out at home, walking the dogs, maybe putting away groceries or something.

His hair looks like he just ran his fingers through it. >:)

Yes! I like imagining stuff like that. I wonder if Alicia and Mikey order groceries in, or go shopping at the market in huge sunglasses, holding hands as they ponder cereal choices.

I have to admit, the thought of them not being brothers always makes my heart pang. But, at the same time, it could be that Mikey is the vampire but Gerard is human and there's some kind of soul bonding thing going on where Gerard always ages and then dies and then Mikey has to go wait for a few years until Gerard is reborn into the Way family ( while he's waiting he hangs out with certain other vampires he knows ) but when the time is right they meet up again and instantly they know each other and they settle in for another lifetime together.

I love them! Have you noticed how often is Gerard the one who leans towards Mikeyway? There's something irrepressibly cute about how it's the older Way who seeks comfort (however you want to take that) on his younger brother.

Also, I might, per-maybe-haps, have squeed rather loudly at seeing Governess!Mikeyway. Are you, Terri, trying to get some random bunnies excited in my plot bunny farm? *puts on disguise just in case*

ETA: I think one of my ultimate faves is the one where the brothers are taking photos with the two little girls. Mikeyway making goofy faces is ten kinds of WIN. \Way brothers!/

Gerard leaning into Mikey is one of my favourite things. Oh man, I love them so much, and included in that is that they're so tactile.

I was on tumblr the other day and saw someone referring to it as his Governess!Mikey hat. It seems I'll have made an impact on the fandom in some tiny way at least *g*

But you know I'm going to encourage your bunnies. *grow bunnies, grow!*
