I was close to a food coma earlier after making a most delicious dinner, roasted courgettes and greenbeans, both picked from our garden, roast turkey, mashed potatoes, roast potato and stuffing gravy. Om nom nom.

Then I spent the last few hours reading Asymmetrical the wave on story where Ryan loses an arm. I enjoyed it, very much so.

I also spent time being amused by this picture. At first glance I'd thought it was Mikey, but looking again decided not so much.

I've been talking about it with sperrywink and decided it could be a long lost Way brother, or maybe even Mikey's clone. One that doesn't mind wearing those kinds of shoes and uses postcards to communicate and not texts. Whichever one it is, that guy could make a living being Mikey's double.

Plus writing happened, and will happen later too, but Turlough told me I'm supposed to share my progress bar and not keep it to myself. Therefore.

Not as far on as I'd like, but there's still time to catch up.

It was delish, I won't need to eat again today.

He really does. The Way hunch especially, we had to sit and break it down into things like his hair being the wrong colour and style for now, wearing shoes Mikey never would, how his jawline seems to be slightly off. But overall, he's an amazing match.

Good! I did a long-ish bike ride this morning and wound up at my mom & dad's for coffee. Now I'm getting ready to head out to do errands (lots of back to school shopping this weekend). Then family dinner tonight with girlpearl and possibly other Austin fans (enchiladas, beans, chips & queso!).

I really love picking veggies from our garden. We don't have many but the ones that we do you can really taste the difference from the shop variety. And the tomatoes are starting to go red so soon we'll have loads of those too.

Mikey's clone is off seeing the world it seems. Taking in a bit of culture and sending postcards while doing so.

This is the first progress bar I've ever had. I like seeing the bar go up, but ignore it completely on the days I haven't written a word.

We always have roasted and mashed, it's just how Sunday dinner is served up around here. But I mostly had the other veggies, I think I must have eaten a monster courgette on my own.

He's almost perfect profile wise. Between the nose and the Way slouch he almost had it.

I did, yeah. I don't know if I'll make it to the 50k, but I'll have a lot written than if I hadn't joined, which is fantastic, especially as it's mostly the charity fic I'm working on.

It was an excellent dinner. Usually on a Sunday I'm too busy visiting relative to cook anything big, but with nanna away I have more time just now.

I really like Asymmetrical, it's a shame more poeple didn't give it a chance.

Yes! That's exactly how I was breaking it down. On first glance it really does look like him, then you see the necklace and the shoes and the fact his hair is that bit too long and dark for now.

It is an amazing lookalike though, because his features and stance is spot on. They need to find him and use him as a decoy.

Obviously Mikey's clone is off getting some culture while Mikey himself tours. They talk each night and discuss what they've been doing *g*

It is Dallon, yeah. And yep, that's a picture of Brendon and Spencer on Brendon's dick. I was online when the picture was posted and within minutes people on twitter had lightened it to show Dallon's really creepy expression and provided a close-up of the dick picture. It was impressive, the reaction I mean, not Brendon's dick.

I would rec Asymmetrical, yeah. In a lot of ways it's not an easy story to read, music is such an integral part of Ryan that to have that taken from him hurt to read and he lashed out a lot, which is understandable.

There were some parts that seemed rushed, especially relationship wise, but that was never enough to throw me from the story. Mainly what I liked were the little things that dealt with the practicalities of having an amputation. Things that I recognised due to James not having a leg, so when Ryan talked about being able to still feel his arm, or needed clothes pinning or rails in the shower I was nodding along and thinking, yeah.

It never felt like a story that wanted to glorify a one-armed Ryan, more something that explored the impact of one moment that totally changes his life forever.

I was just stopped on the street by a random lady who said I look like her niece and wouldn't let me go on my way for like half an hour because she wanted to talk. So yeah, clones everywhere, apparently. ^_^

The Mikey double really is amazing. He had me fooled for a while, and I spend a lot of time looking at Mikey. I bet he would get mobbed if he was in a place where MCR are well known.
