turpsWhen I got my computer back for some reason Firefox kept repeatedly crashing. I'm talking multiple times an hour, something that quickly got very irritating. After trouble shooting -- enabling/disabling add ons, installing new and old versions etc -- I gave up and installed Chrome. It's not perfect yet, I still need to tweak a lot of things, but it is stable, and really that's the most important thing. So sorry Firefox, I've loved you for years but I couldn't cope with the constant crashes.
After weeks of not writing a word and not being in the right mood to be fannish I've started working on my gross bandom story again. I don't know if it'll be done in time, but I'm trying. I'm over the minimum word count and it's not anything that needs actual plot, just something set in my wave two BBB universe and James is back at work tomorrow night, so who knows? I'll give it my best shot anyway. That is if I can keep away from the mega Frank/Mikey list I just got linked to on tumblr. It's amazing, especially as a load of the stories are on mibba, the land of angst, woe, death and blood letting.
Earlier I watched something that made me want a bandom story set in an octopus sex bar, because really, slinky, pretty boys lounging in shallow tanks with an octopus has to be good. Also, tentacle porn \o/
It's been a gorgeous day today. We've been to see mam and I've been drying the bedding on the line, and actually put on the clean sheets when I took the dirty ones off so my usual trick of having to remake the bed late when I'm tired won't happen this time. Talking of, I'm looking forward to when I'm not ready for bed at 9 and actually have energy that lasts all day again. Right now it gets to evening time and I'm done.
Right, I guess I should go and make the tea before the kidlet gnaws off his hand. Then catching up at DW and hopefully some writing/comment replies

We'd gorgeous weather too today. +20C and sunshine. Very lovely but soooo weird for the last week in September. Where is my lovely autumn with crisp air and frost in the mornings??!

It looks like our autumn has come back now, hopefully yours will too.
I'd be happy to stop sleeping so much any time now. Heading off to bed at 9 is all kinds of wrong. But I was up until midnight last night so hopefully that's at an end.

Oh I do, very much so. On CSI it was an actual octopus that was used, but for me it has to be tentacles of a different kind, attached by someone who knows how to use them.
The list is terrible! And yet has some really good fic mixed up in it. How anyone can say that all of those stories are good I'll never know.

Futuristic would allow for bigger/better tentacles I suppose, live shows and back rooms where people can go to experience it themselves.

But yeah, tentacle porn. Like I said in my other comment, it shouldn't be hot, and yet it can be. Probably because of the loss of control, but in a way that's not non or dub-con. Though I guess it could be, but that would be a very different kind of story.

Of course the pretty boy in the tank can be Mikey! Mikey will always be front and centre to me, even if that means he has tentacles and lounges in a glass tank.
Oh man. Yes to the addition of Gabe and Pete. I'm thinking Gabe's seen Mikey a few times, starting with Gabe flipping credits into Mikey's tank and being obnoxious the first time Gabe went to the bar, but that's something Mikey's used to so he just ignores him and lies there looking pretty.
Which of course means Gabe keeps coming back, because he's not used to being ignored, and drags Pete with him one day, all, come see this, he's pretty but fucking cold and Pete's not sure at all, because tentacle bar, but then he sees Mikey who looks so chilled out in his tank, and Pete's intrigued, leaning over the side, the sleeves of his shirt getting wet as he says, "hi'
