I'm going to give my weekend the productive thumbs up. Laundry is done, ironed and about to be put away. Gross bandom at beta and in box cut down from over 500 to under 200. Which is still horrible I know but much better than it was.
I've just been discussing this on twitter but I loved Thomas Gibson tweeting about meeting MCR, and the fact he tweeted them all thanks personally after, and then shared a picture of Gerard's feet.
saxihighlandck reminded me Victoria is a good friend of MGG's, so really, yet again there is only one fandom. It also means that I now really want a picture of Mikey, Victoria and Matthew together, that would be amazing.
Also amazing? this. The gloves give me shivers. Also, neck, eyes, everything!
I'm also considering how many words I want to sign up for at
mini_nanowrimo. I really enjoyed the comm last year but don't want to put down too many in case I'm setting myself up to fail, but at the same time, if I take the easy way out with say 100, that's no kind of challenge at all.
Tomorrow we're driving mam down for a specialist scan at a hospital in Middlesbrough. James finishes work at 7 and mam's appointment is at 9 so it's going to be a rush to get there in time, but we can't make the better of it. Hopefully it'll give actual answers about the tumour she has, so the three hour wait while she gets the thing done and the drive there and back has to be worth it.
But now shower, hot chocolate and then maybe some reading.

Date: 2011-10-02 09:34 pm (UTC)I'd to google Thomas Gibson. My knowledge of contemporary actors is really abysmal :-)
If 100 is too few, is 500 too many? What about 250?
I'll keep my fingers crossed tomorrow.
Did you read something good? Or are you still on that Mikey/Frank badfic kick? ;-)

Date: 2011-10-03 03:41 pm (UTC)It was a lovely surprise when he started tweeting about meeting them. It sounds like he had the best time.
250 sounds good. I'd much rather go over than fail to make the count each day.
I read a gross bandom story where Mikey and Gerard got to come on Ray's face. I liked it, a lot.

Date: 2011-10-04 08:07 am (UTC)Also, Mikey in gloves. nnngh.
I hope that the appointment does yield useful results. Sending all best thoughts for sustenance in the hard stuff. ((()))

Date: 2011-10-08 05:36 pm (UTC)My attention keeps being pulled to those gloves.
Thank you.

Date: 2011-10-07 02:01 am (UTC)I hadn't seen that photo of our Mikeyway. All I can say is NOM NOM NOM. *g*
In all truth, I'd considered Mini Nano, but, at the same time, I think it'd add too much pressure at a moment when I'm going to be busy anyways. My shame about failing the Bandom Nano that (I think) Pikasafire ran about a month ago? Let me show it to you. /o\

Date: 2011-10-07 05:49 am (UTC)He's the nomiest.
I failed the bandom nano big time. I got off to an okay start but then life exploded and I didn't write a thing for weeks. So no shame, sometimes these things just happen.

Date: 2011-10-02 07:41 pm (UTC)Awww, there really is just one Fandom.
Good luck and well wishes to your Mam.

Date: 2011-10-02 07:48 pm (UTC)He was so cute about it. I was already charmed by the pictures he posted but then the individual thank yous he tweeted finished me off.
I'll be pleased when we're back. I've had my fill of hospitals recently.

Date: 2011-10-02 07:46 pm (UTC)I signed up for 700 words, in the hopes that this means I'll get back in the swing of 750 Words.
I'll be thinking good thoughts/sending the mojo your way for tomorrow. ♥

Date: 2011-10-02 07:51 pm (UTC)And that so counts. You've rocked the productivity this weekend.
700. Meep. That's an impressive number, and you know I'll be cheering you on.
Thank you ♥

Date: 2011-10-02 08:26 pm (UTC)Oh, I always enjoy getting comments from you. Singularly, en masse, what have you. ♥
[I have to get the in-house internet sorted. That would make everything so much easier.]
Eh, it's not so bad. Last year I think I picked 500 words as my daily goal and it worked out fine. Granted, it wasn't 500 cohesive words; I always write random chunks during those challenges. But thank you for the pom pom rustling What word count did you settle on?
Of course. Always. ♥

Date: 2011-10-02 08:36 pm (UTC)There is only one Fandom *highlander jokes never go out of style....do they?*
ooooss Mini Nano...I need to not go over and sign up for anything.
*hugs* all the good luck/positive vibes/well wishes EVER

Date: 2011-10-02 08:41 pm (UTC)Highlander jokes are always fantastic. Especially when they're true.
With how much you write you'd easily manage mini nano. I bet you could pledge 1k a day and do it.
Thank you ♥

Date: 2011-10-02 08:52 pm (UTC)*giggles* yup*nods*

Date: 2011-10-02 08:57 pm (UTC)I think you definitely get your adulthood trophy this weekend. I've cleaned the kitchen, bathroom, vacuumed and done the washing, but other than that have done NOTHING, and very nice it's been too.
Hope the scan goes okay. Is it one of the ones she's got to fast for beforehand, or drink the litre of liquid?
no subject
Date: 2011-10-02 09:04 pm (UTC)Well I think you did lots, so you get a hi-five too. Cleaning is hard work, even if it's surrounded by chilling out.
They're injecting her with radioactive stuff. She's had the other kinds but they didn't show enough, so now it's this PET scan. I just wish it was available a little more local.

Date: 2011-10-03 12:14 am (UTC)how was I not aware that my CM and MCR fandoms overlapped in real life? (I guess I'm not all that up on Twitter, so...that's maybe an excuse?)
also, are we talking Victoria as in Vicky-T? I HAVE SO MANY QUESTIONS. it's like a portal between all the things I like just opened up and showed me the truth about The Oneness Of All or something.
congrats on the productive weekend! and good luck with your Mam.

Date: 2011-10-03 05:56 am (UTC)But yeah, Vicky-T, she's known MGG for a while and they've been out together often, doing things like movie trips and walking home in the smog. I don't think there's anything between them, just good friends.
Thank you!

Date: 2011-10-03 11:07 am (UTC)That was a really long-winded way of me saying thanks. :D
Need that Kerrang special. Need it need it need it. ;____;
I am so excited for your gross bandom, even without the mould. (It's...probably a good thing, really. I don't do mould. I don't do mould, bins or germs. But yeah, knowing my luck and your writing powers, it would have crossed over from comedic device to squick, and that would have been a shame.) But still. Stupid boys in love and being gross! \o/ For that alone, I say you get a gold star for the weekend. :D?
I hope everything went well with your mum today (because you'll be finished by now, I think), and that you get the answers you need, but especially the ones you want. ♥

Date: 2011-10-14 04:03 pm (UTC)Hee. No worries.
Did you ever get your Kerrang special in the end? I know you were having issues finding it.
I'm sorry, but now I'm laughing and imagining mould sex, something like, we need lube! Would slimy mould do? *g*
Well you know what's happened since then, but yeah, at least we know.

Date: 2011-10-15 07:20 pm (UTC)I did, thank you! Another ridiculous thing: I bought it in Smiths, so glad they still had some. Next day, Dad comes home with one for me. Now I have two! O.o
Ew, ew, eeeeeeewww. *flaps hands and recoils really, really far back* I'm sorry, ew, no! When I said I don't do mould, I really frigging don't do mould. It's almost a phobia. (Except for the fact that with spiders, I'm completely terrified and I can feel it. With mould etc, I'm just. Grossed out. Really, the only similarity is the strength of my reaction, and the complere inability I have to control said reactions.)
I do, and I'm just. So sorry. ♥

Date: 2011-10-16 09:36 am (UTC)I will not mention the mould again *g*
