The in-laws are coming to visit soon so a quick post before they arrive. They're supposed to be here at 11 but experience has shown I can expect them any time from ten onwards. Though what I'm going to give them to drink/eat I don't know as we desperately need to go shopping.

I signed up for mini nano with a word count of 300 a day. Not much I know but anything more ambitious would be pushing it.

I also finally submitted by bandomstuffsit sign up. It took days because I couldn't decide what I wanted to answer for each question. Then decided my list of Mikey pairings was probably OTT, and that's without the issues of should I sign up saying I'd write Panic and TYV and what do I actually want in a story. Which I mentioned on twitter, and was then mocked ¹ by themoononastick who managed to condense what I like into one tweet, except she didn't have room to say that Gerard and Mikey being separated permanently or not friends would break my heart, so ha! Not so easy to condense down at all.

¹ And by mocked I mean she knows far too much about what I do like/don't like. Damn friends/beta readers who know everything.

Talking of twitter, it's been irritating lately with tweets missing from my timeline, which is especially annoying when they're tweets actually for me and I miss them. It's also been randomly unfollowing people for some reason, so I'm just saying here, I haven't unfollowed anyone on there, so if it comes up I have, blame twitter.

Not that I'm down that much on twitter because it continues to bring me joy and amazing conversations. Also creepy ones at times, many involving Ray's dick for some reason. Also, I was on twitter when the laundry clip first came available and seeing the reaction to that and the demand for fic was amazing.

Seriously though, I hope laundry fic is being written right now. It doesn't even have to be Mikey pulling a Nick Kamen ( and yes, I am dating myself right there ) and stripping off his stage outfit to wash so he has to sit wrapped in a sheet. It could be about Frank and why he has those huge pants, or what the hell Ray is doing in the background. eta: Looking at the gif he's taking stuff from the dryer, I think.

I'm having similar problems with Twitter -- it's so frustrating! (Particularly when someone sends you an @reply and you never see it.) I think the unfollowing thing is just a glitch in the display on your profile, because I've seen it happen with people who's tweets are showing up in my timeline and it seems to resolve itself without me clicking to follow them again.

Hope the visit with the in-laws is going well!

The twitter issues are frustrating. I hate when I've been having a conversation, then look at my replies later and see I've ignored someone. It always looks so rude.

That's good to know about the unfollow issue, though does suggest Twitter has some issues it really needs to sort out.

I love the laundry snippet. Whoever decided to put them in a launderette was a genius, and they played their roles to perfection.

My theory about the laundry skit is that the boys lost the previous night's D&D game to Dewees. So, they're pissy 'cause they have to deal with James' dirty laundry (and only God knows how they're going to clean the MouseKAT head.)

It's an AU 'verse in which the Ways own a laundromat and this is the ad for it.

Gerard doesn't understand the concept, but then, he's not a HUGE fan of laundry (despite owning a laundromat with his brother). He keeps his bitchface in place by playing at being himself during his teenage years. Other than that, all he knows is that Patrick keeps fucking giggling in every take.

Patrick is an evil boyfriend.

Gerard keeps shooting GLARE OF DOOM at him, but the effect is lost by wearing the sunglasses (which, according to Brendon, are ESSENTIAL to the vibe for the concept.)

Gerard thinks his boyfriend's bff is insane

Frank's pissed off 'cause he has to go get some more quarters (coins) for the machines at the bank (which closes in about 30 minutes) 'cause it's Saturday and the bank will be closed til Tuesday due to a national holiday.

Meanwhile, Mikeyway is confused that he's in the ad at all. (He hasn't had his coffee yet. Frank took his cup away by kissing him stupid when he walked in the morning. The worst part is that Frank's kiss tasted like coffee--'cause he had already had his cup on the way to work.

Sometimes, Mikeyway likes to snark at his boyfriend. If it wasn't for the fumes from the BOTTOMLESS bottle of laundry detergent, he'd remember to pinch Frank's ass in retaliation from being kept away from coffee.)

Ray's chilling out. As the bookeeper, he too thinks there's no reason for him to be in the tv ad. But then, Brendon and Gabe (the ad agency directors) said that the ad needed "more people" in it.
