turpsI have all my files back! Including all the stories that need uploading for Sentinel Thursday and my MX slash site. Sat and finished stripping Blue down last night, removed all my mail files and moved them to Silver. Now all I have to do is upload the things. Which I can't do until tonight as it's Kayleigh's 18th birthday today and we need to go see her. Plus it's going to be the computer show as Blue goes to hers, and my brother gets her old computer.
Had to lol at Chris wanting that computer. It's the first one we ever had and is probably worthless now. Plus he's so computer illiterate it's unreal. He needs to be walked through every step when he comes here to surf.
The fish are set up and look awesome. But I have to say, flat pack furniture is the thing of the devil. Who would have thought that something that looks so innocent is so freaking hard to build. So now my desk is flanked on one side by an insane gerbil that sits and *glares* at me. ( Anyone ever notice that gerbils have eyes just like the grey aliens? John just sits and stares, the freakish thing that he is) and a huge tank on the other. I'd call it pet corner but I'd be insulting myself *g*
Now, must check the flist before I have to go out, see what you've all been saying.

Heh. Flat stack furniture is one of the things I sell now. Haven't built any, but I can imagine. The crap is pretty heavy, I'll give it that.

Date: 2003-10-12 08:46 am (UTC)Exactly. we bought a stand for the fish tank, and all we got was a box full of pieces of wood and seemingly millions of screws. It took us *hours*. It's supposed to be easy, and if you have brute strength and extra long arms to hold all the wood while screwing it together it might be. But I just don't have that ability.
We ended up guessing in the end too, which is probably why we had so many bits left over *g*

John is an evil alien gerbil. The stupid thing just sits with his teeth clamped on the bars of his cage staring at me. I can feel his eyes boring into the back of my head *g*
I should be up to date pretty quick now with the archive, It doesn't take that long to code and upload. Just have to find all my files tonight then actually sit and do them.
