Apr. 22nd, 2009 09:27 amI'm at the limb center at the moment, waiting while James gets his new leg -- a very nifty one with a camo skin. Goodness knows how long it'll take, still, I've got the eee so I'm entertained.
People keep walking past holding onto spare legs and sometimes an arm, and I'm sitting here surfing. You know, the world is a very cool thing, where we have the tech to do such things. Someone new has just walked in carrying a leg in a bin bag, you see all sorts on these visits.
After this it's grocery shopping, you know you need to go when you have to eat left over prawn crackers for breakfast.

Date: 2009-04-22 09:33 pm (UTC)I had never heard of prawn crackers before. They sound interesting, though perhaps not exactly breakfast material.

Date: 2009-04-23 06:24 am (UTC)Prawn crackers are tasty, also very unhealthy and not breakfast food at all. Sadly that's all we had yesterday.

Date: 2009-04-23 06:21 am (UTC)I'm no so sure about the prawn crackers. They're like puffy crisps that are flash fried in oil and taste of prawn. Crunchy and delicious but not good for breakfast at all.

Date: 2009-04-24 09:15 am (UTC)Yeah, I laughed at the camo because James came out and said they'd decided against the dessert camo, which was a good choice because there's more trees than sand to blend in against around here *g*

Ha! He could always cover it with brown pantyhose when going to the beach...that way it would *look* like dessert camo!

Date: 2009-04-24 09:16 am (UTC)He's getting on okay, it's been a while since he got a completely new one so it's taking a little breaking in but it's a lot lighter, which is good.
