May. 1st, 2009 01:39 pmFor a long time I've been hoovering the floor using the nozzle end as the actual floor bit wasn't picking up -- you're in awe of my technical talk, I know it. This was time consuming to say the least as four cats, one dog and three people means the carpets don't stay clean long. Yesterday, after I'd done the whole living room floor, Corey pointed to a dial and said, what does that do? It turns out it moves the spinning brush up and down, and it had been on the up setting. Which, yeah.
Once we found out that yes, putting the brush down fixed all, Corey announced that he knows more than me. Because of course he does. He's 13, he thinks he knows everything in the world.
This morning I was cleaning the keys on my keyboard. Which went great until I did the side ones and got the order mixed up. I had to Google a picture of a keyboard to get them back in the right place. Still, it was to be expected as I was cleaning them while watching Greek. Cappie's enough to distract anyone.
It was calendar turning over time today, so now I have Mikey on the big calendar ( which again, far too many effects ) and Frank on the little one. From where I'm sitting they're pretty much side by side. It's a very pretty thing.
I now have to go clean dried on cat snot off the window. I tell you, it's all go around here.

Date: 2009-05-01 12:53 pm (UTC)At least vacuuming will be easier now.
I am waiting at home to buy a Dreamwidth permanent account, so I will be going into work late. I hate waiting. *taps fingers*
Why did I think Camp Sparkle was next week instead of the week after? Must be how crazy May is going to be. My main thing will be making sure I'm not overworked and feel up to going to my Fall Out Boy concert in two weeks on that Friday.

Date: 2009-05-01 12:56 pm (UTC)Vacuuming is much easier, and takes minutes instead of nearly half an hour scuttling around with the stupid nozzle.
Oh, you're going for the big prize. Awesome.
Well, I suppose it is next week, just late next week. And yes, you must feel up to going to see FOB.

Date: 2009-05-01 03:48 pm (UTC)I remember whenever I cleaned my old keyboard I always made sure to have the spare one in front of me, I could never remember how all the non-letters & numbers keys were supposed to be situated.
Good luck with getting rid of the cat snot, it's quite difficult I've noticed. It really sticks to the glass.

Date: 2009-05-01 04:09 pm (UTC)That's very good idea, and now I'm wondering why I didn't just turn around and look at Corey's keyboard. But it just never occurred to me.
The cat snot was a hard job, but it's gone now.
Have you checked out the BBB summaries yet? There's so much more MCR than I was expecting. I'm very much \o/ at the moment. That and *wants*

Date: 2009-05-01 05:30 pm (UTC)The description of #29 made me laugh out loud, especially this bit: Includes the adventures of Patrick Stump the disgruntled beautician, Ryan Ross the genderless scarf-thing, and Gabe Saporta as himself.. And so did #34, IT CAME FROM OUTER JERSEY!! :-D

Yeah, I really don't want to build up my excitement and be let down. Though there were very few really bad stories last year. So I have hope.

Date: 2009-05-02 01:28 pm (UTC)There was a lot of people on the list that I'd never heard of and I noticed that some I'd high hopes of who'd signed up didn't produce any stories, bexless for example. That made me a little sad, but hopefully she's busy writing the last part of the Unholy 'verse *keeps fingers crossed*
