Happy belated birthday to [livejournal.com profile] yami_tai. I hope you had a fantastic day *mwah* Also, happy birthday for today to [livejournal.com profile] _unashamed. I hope it's a great one <3

This morning I finally exchanged my bras that didn't fit. The new one fits very nicely indeed. You could also carry a small child in the cups, two small children, even. Then with what was left with the refund I got a sparkly new necklace.

Yesterday we did the usual family visiting thing, where nanna slipped me some spending money for Camp Sparkle and then spent time worrying that I was about to be murdered in my bed. I reassured her this would be my third Camp Sparkle and I've never felt in danger yet. Of dying of laughter maybe, but death by malicious means not so much. But you know, just in case I do meet a grisly end. Point the police toward [livejournal.com profile] nopseud and [livejournal.com profile] pensnest. It was all their doing!

I see so many of you on Friday!

Also this weekend James got word about when he'll go in to get his arm operated on again. Right now it looks a choice between two hospitals, both private and not that close to where we live. But, it seems because he's willing to travel they'll provide transport so that Corey and me can go visit.

Dreamwidth. I know, some of you will be cringing away and going, nooooo! But hang in there, this won't take long. I've been wondering how to handle two journals, because it was something I never intended to do. Right now I'm granting access/subscribing to anyone that grants me access/subscribes to me. Lurkers, crossposters, whoever. And I'm dealing with the whole giving access against subscribing thing by giving access to anyone that gives access to me and the same for subscribing. Simply because if someone grants me access and I don't do the same in return it feels like I'm shutting them out and saying they aren't welcome to see everything. Now, I know that's not the case, but it's just how my mind works.

I also fought with my DW layout to make it look prettier and changed icons so I had more than one bandom icon.

I was up until 2am reading fic last night. Specifically Five Point Plan. It gave me good Mikey/Pete, and Gerard/Gabe which was interesting to think about. But yeah, Mikey/Pete. There needs to be many epics where they have a happy ending.

This morning I followed a link to the Infinity comic creator, and ended with these

It's so true.

The thing is, this needs to be more specific because Mikey would win for randomness, Pete for obscureness and Mark for sheer volume.

I feel the only conclusion can be. More Mikey/Pete.

Your nanna is a never-ending source of amusement, I'm sure she still thinks of you as a 12-year-old girl :-)

Camp Sparkle, wheeee!!

A hospital far away sounds a little off-putting but if they're willing to provide you with transportation I guess it won't be that bad. How long will he be in for?

I still haven't read Five Point Plan. I've looked at it and it looks a little rambling, was it readable?

She really does. She's wonderful but in her mind I'm still very much a kid.

I can't believe Camp Sparkle is so soon. I really need to start to get organised soon. I can see me packing on Friday morning at this rate.

We don't really know yet. They're replacing the whole wrist joint this time so it's a bigger operation, so I'd say a few days at least. Honestly, I'm not keen on the idea of a hospital further away but it needs doing so it's a case of sucking it up.

It is readable and I really enjoyed it. Saying that, you can tell it was done fast and it could do with a tightening up. It's more like 3 stories in one. The first where MCR, Panic and FOB tour together along with many over FBR bands. That part is a lot of fun. Then there's a change of focus where it's only MCR and Bob and Gerard get together and their arc. Then finally Gerard being put back together by his band, especially Mikey and Frank, and then the parts with Gabe.

There's a lot going for it. The interactions are good, there's a lot of funny parts, especially at first and the story as a whole pulled me in and good. But it is uneven in tone and with you being such a big Gerard/Bob fan you may not like part of it.

Overall though, I'll read it again for sure.

I'm leaving on Wednesday, eeek! At least I've started writing lists of what I need to pack...

I seem to remember it being a NaNoWriMo project that hadn't been betaed or anything so I suspected it would be a little incoherent but it doesn't sound too bad. Unless there's something totally awful happening to Bob of course! He doesn't die or anything like that, does he?!! 'cause that would totally suck >:(

Lists. Lists would be good. I especially need lists as James and Corey are off scout camping on Friday, too. So we need the animals sorting out.

It's not bad at all. No, he doesn't die or anything bad. Do you want to know exactly? I won't say unless you do.

Making lists is totally the first step to getting anything done for me :-)

No, don't tell me. If I get curious when I've started reading it I can always skim forward and see what happens.

Dude, if you get murdered in your bed, I'll totally point and go 'your nanna had warned you, ha!'

And the DW granting access thing made me smile because everyone was like 'DW will avoid all the friending drama there is on LJ because of the whole 'reading list as opposed to flist thing and stuff' and now it'd seem the first DW issue had started to come up!

I hope you know if I do get murdered in my bed I expect you to look after my stories. Treat them well, sis. Even the horrible old ones.

The granting access/subscription thing doesn't suit me at all. I worry about offending people too much.

Glad to hear they've given James hospital dates, although it's a bit of a nuisance that they're not local :(

It is a nuisance, but I keep telling myself it's better because it means taxis there and back. So much better than bussing it.

I've given access to a few people and not subscribed back, and I've had the same happen to me. It's strange from both sides. I don't take it personally and I hope others feel the same.

On LJ I used to add everyone back automatically, but once I started posting icons people from out of no where added me and it felt strange peeking into their lives. Especially when they made no effort to interact with me at all. Not that I mind lurkers, but it still didn't feel right having access to all that personal information. I do use a basic filter now, but honestly, I hate that people might be under the impression I do read them because I have them friended.

DW solves my dilemma perfectly. I can give people access without subscribing to them, I can subscribe to someone's fic/meta without giving them access to my personal info, or I can subscribe and give access to people I honestly want to get to know better. It's a win-win-win situation! For me anyway, I'm sure drama will pop up somewhere eventually if it hasn't already.

(I have already run across an argument over 'friending' memes and how that terminology doesn't belong on DW. *eyeroll*)

Wow. That got long. Oops? ;)

I've had a few people subscribe but not grant access and it doesn't bother me in the slightest. I just have a thing about appearing rude in some way. Which is insane I know.

It's something I should work on because your icon situation happens with me in terms of fic. I tend to pick up readers when I post fic and while I don't automatically friend back, I do tend to do so if people actually use their journal. Then feel awkward when it becomes apparent all they really wanted was to know when I posted new stories.

So yeah, I know it's a great thing, I just have to wean myself into actually following through *g*

Man, people argue over anything. Life would be so much simpler if people didn't sweat the minor stuff.

A well-fitting bra is a thing of beauty and a joy forever.

All good wishes for James's operation when it takes place!

I hope you have a marvelous time with the campers.

And I support your conclusion wholeheartedly!

It really is. I hate that double breast effect you get with badly fitting bras.

Thank you, for the best wishes for James and the camp.

Mikey/Pete ftw! It pains me there's not more happy fic for them.

Thanks for the birthday wishes, hun ♥! I had a really good day ^_^!

I think I'm going to use Dreamwidth as a back up for my LJ, as I've been meaning to do that for years.

Have fun at Camp Sparkle!

Well, to be honest Dreamwidth is pretty much like LJ mostly. Just it's run by someone who used to be on my flist and involved with popslash so I know she has the interest of fans at heart. Still, what it comes down to is LJ is my home.

I love Mikey/Pete so much! Each time they twitter to each other I have glee.
