Okay, remember how Bob's all 'I have to talk to Andy Hurley' after the creepy beaked monster attacked? Andy's currently sitting in his car, waiting to meet up with Bob... but I can't figure out where they are meeting. They have a semi-standing going to a diner thing, but I don't think that the convo is a good one for that sort of a locale. I have no idea where to send them! Help!

Date: 2009-06-16 03:03 pm (UTC)I do remember. I'd imagine it would have to be somewhere private, this isn't stuff that just anyone could overhear. I'm not sure what time of day you're at, but would a deserted playground work? I'm just getting this visual of them having this serious talk while swaying on swings or on a roundabout.
Or is that too exposed?

Date: 2009-06-16 03:20 pm (UTC)Maybe... they meet up at the diner, but both of them are too antsy to stay [and it's not like Bob can smoke in the diner], so they go for a walk. Which is a good contrast - starting out in darkness, with Andy as he sits in his beater car, pulling himself together before going into the diner. Then - it's all bright lights and the scent of burned coffee, and Bob *fidgeting*. And then back outside, the two of them walking, not saying much [lights from the streetlights skip through the darkness - I am reminded of skipping stones on a lake, the light rippling out but not really touching more than surfaces. I imagine that both are them are tiwtchy and trying to not *look* that way.] The playground's on the other side of some chainlink - not brightly lit, but there's *some* light...
Yeah, I think that will work. Y/Y?

Date: 2009-06-16 03:24 pm (UTC)The way you play with light is just delicious. Them both so twitchy and aware of things that are still unspoken at that point.
Serious things on swings is something I always enjoy.

Date: 2009-06-16 04:10 pm (UTC)Twitchy pretty much defines them here. And just so you know - when I asked for your help, the only bit of the scene I had settled in my mind was the Andy in the car bit. You are most helpful! Thank you!!
[And I'm glad you like the mucking around with light bit - the weaving in and out of darkness is vital for the convo.]
Serious things on swings with these two guys is particularly fun. :) :)
