Jun. 18th, 2009 04:04 pmJames is making mini pizzas with the scout troop tomorrow, so we're pre-making the bases today. It's the first time either us has tried making dough, and I have to admit there was satisfaction in giving it a good punch. As we're making enough for the quite a lot of scouts, there's lots of dough. A lot of dough ""
sperrywink has been making me think about Mikey/Edward Scissorhands all day, she's a bad influence.
The bandom big bang stories are giving me so much glee right now. I'm horribly behind, but that doesn't matter, because I have so many good stories tabbed to be read, and more keep getting posted. It's awesome.
Two I've enjoyed lately are:
Cello Sonata No. 1 in B Minor "Naissance de Libertè" by
arsenicjade It's no secret that I love Arsenic's writing, and this story is no exception. She writes stories that hit you emotionally and keep you reading, needing more. I loved them all in this, even the times I wanted to shake them and say, what are you doing?!
Also, one unexpected part that made me throw up my hands and just beam.
Play and Record, Held Down Together by
snakevsladder It's Mikey/Pete, and Mikey/Pete done amazingly well. Mikey's voice is so good, and it was a story that made me happy as I read, even the times that weren't so happy in the actual story. Because it was Pete, and Mikey, and they were written perfectly. I loved Frank as best friend, too. This is one I'll be re-reading for sure.

Date: 2009-06-18 08:02 pm (UTC)BBB is like three weeks of Christmas, it's awesome! I'm reading the WWI story right now. I was a bit worried it would be too much for me but it's funny and lovely and a bit sad and just soo good. The writer really knows what they're talking about, so many small details that are just right but without anything seeming contrived, great stuff.
