James is making mini pizzas with the scout troop tomorrow, so we're pre-making the bases today. It's the first time either us has tried making dough, and I have to admit there was satisfaction in giving it a good punch. As we're making enough for the quite a lot of scouts, there's lots of dough. A lot of dough ""

[livejournal.com profile] sperrywink has been making me think about Mikey/Edward Scissorhands all day, she's a bad influence.

The bandom big bang stories are giving me so much glee right now. I'm horribly behind, but that doesn't matter, because I have so many good stories tabbed to be read, and more keep getting posted. It's awesome.

Two I've enjoyed lately are:

Cello Sonata No. 1 in B Minor "Naissance de Libertè" by [livejournal.com profile] arsenicjade It's no secret that I love Arsenic's writing, and this story is no exception. She writes stories that hit you emotionally and keep you reading, needing more. I loved them all in this, even the times I wanted to shake them and say, what are you doing?!

Also, one unexpected part that made me throw up my hands and just beam.

Play and Record, Held Down Together by [livejournal.com profile] snakevsladder It's Mikey/Pete, and Mikey/Pete done amazingly well. Mikey's voice is so good, and it was a story that made me happy as I read, even the times that weren't so happy in the actual story. Because it was Pete, and Mikey, and they were written perfectly. I loved Frank as best friend, too. This is one I'll be re-reading for sure.

You've never made dough before? As you say, it can be very satifying, but also kind of exhausting. (Which reminds me that I don't have any bread left in the freezer, it's time to do some baking.)

BBB is like three weeks of Christmas, it's awesome! I'm reading the WWI story right now. I was a bit worried it would be too much for me but it's funny and lovely and a bit sad and just soo good. The writer really knows what they're talking about, so many small details that are just right but without anything seeming contrived, great stuff.

I haven't. You're right though, it is exhausting, even if the punching was fun.

I'm not sure what story to read next, there's so many I want to read! You may have tempted me toward that story now. Though even my short list is getting long now *g*

The dough is going to rise overnight and be massive tomorrow, I bet. Hee!

\o/:| Edward Scissorhands!

Arsenic's story is going to have to wait until after the weekend, unfortunately. But I'm looking forward to it.

ETA: And guess what is on one of my HBO channels at 5:30? Edward Scissorhands! Ahahahahaha!!!

Mikey/Edward Scissorhands!!! Their love would be epic and pointy! And have amazing hair!

Have fun with the dough and do not get eaten when it rises and takes over the whole kitchen!

Yes! Also, [livejournal.com profile] sperrywink mentioned how they're both expressionless at times, and now all I can think of is them sitting there staring at each other!

:| |:

The dough is becoming an epic thing. It's scaring me!

Hmm, yes. Theirs would not be an epic love that was big on emoting. Or dialogue for that matter. :|

Mikey/Edward Scissorhands would be just... pretty. And a lot of other things, but mostly pretty.

(And that Pete/Mikey story? Loved to pieces)

Mikey/Edward Scissorhands keeps making me laugh. It would be pretty, also dangerous and very dorky. Mikey would have a new hairstyle on a daily basis.

Have you read the Mikey/Gerard/Pete yet?

kneading dough is very satisfying indeed - although hard work if you have a lot of scouts!

My dough came out weird. It's edible but the pizza bases puffed up like pasties :(
