Recently I was discussing Donna Way and then Lynn and Justin ( Timberlake and his mom for those that don't know, they're 'close' ) and mentioned how bandom didn't seem to have those kinds of stories. Oh ficfinder communities, prove me wrong yet again /o\

I'm considering joining [livejournal.com profile] cliche_bingo. I've always liked the idea of kink bingo but let's face it, if I'd joined that I would have spent a year fretting about writing one story, never mind enough to get a bingo. But cliches I like. Aliens made them do it, age regression, just the example card has stars in my eyes. Other people should join too, it would be fun!

The pizza dough got big over night. Hopefully it's edible because soon I need to shape all the mini pizza bases and cook them. Also, sort out toppings which means a lot of chopping and grating. You know what's annoying though? None for me to eat. How is that fair?!

You are terrible ;-)

You totally should join! I'm all for anything that makes my friend write more. Even clichés :-P

What?!! You're just having to make all of these pizzas but you don't get to eat any of them? That's so unfair!! You should demand that they leave at least one for you!

Show me a link and I'll follow it...sigh.

I am going to join, ~T pushed me over the edge, and I do love cliche fic. Who knows, I may even write something you'll actually read *g*

It is unfair! I may just take one anyway. If I put in the work I should get a reward at the end!

I hadn't thought much about the Donna Way thing before - there are a couple fics I remember reading with her, including 'The Watch' [God, I hope that's the right title...]. But yeah, you'd think there'd be more fic out there.

Well, I went and signed up. Because you apparently inspire writerly insanity. ;P So now you must join me in the flailing and writing. I shall find a way to might my inevitable hand-clinging worth your while.

Luckily there's the Lost Luau starting in July, so I have *that* to fall back on if my Bandom muses refuse to play.

Hi. *hugs*

Yeah, I remember Donna in 'The Watch', other stories too. She seems to get cast as someone awesome who loves her boys deeply whatever they do.

I am surprised there's not more cest with her. No one blinks an eye about it in popslash, because of the Justin and Lynn thing, but not so much in bandom. Which is where I add a thank goodness.

\o/ Awesome! Now I have to sign up, then I can compare bingo cards with you.

Hi, you. Today is going to be a better day, yes?

From: [identity profile] crowgirl13.livejournal.com
Thank goodness is right - which is funny, considering how much Waycest there is out there, but I'm REALLY not complaining. I can't actually think about that cant of 'cest without having my brain lock up.

Yes, yes you do. *prods at you* I'm kinda psyched about this, actually. 500 words isn't a lot...though it's terribly long for poetry, so I'll most likely have abandon my standard versifyin'strategy.

Today was pretty great until I made the mistake of going to lunch. *sighs* But I only have two and a half more hours until my shift's done, so I'm trying to ignore the insanity here. [And yesterday was really more about everyone ELSE having problems, not me. Aside, from work hoopla anyway.]After work I've a date planned, so it will prolly end up being better in the long run. :D

I joined! Now I want to see my bingo card, I'm all impatient.

Well, I'm sure you could do a 500 word poem, but you know I'd never turn down fic from you.

A date sounds like a fine way to end the day. I hope you enjoy it.

cliche_bingo is a neat idea!

Dude, you totally need to swipe a pizza for yourself. If anyone asks you can say the missing one fell on the floor or something. :P

ME TOO. I mean, not for the bingo, just in general. More stories in which people are tied up with ropes, plz.

Seriously, I have such a craving for pizza right now and it is all your fault. (Was it tasty?)

I second that! It's one of the reasons I really like the idea of this challenge. They say cliches but it's all the kinds of stuff I like to read and the sad fact is, there's not enough stories with people tied up with rope.

The pizza was tasty, nothing out of this world but not bad for a first try. I have to admit though. After the effort of making the dough, making the bases and the toppings, it's so much easier to get take out.

It would be very wrong to send them off without first conducting a proper quality control assessment by eating one. Irresponsible, even. {nods firmly}

I was wondering why you didn't have the right icon *g*

I did try one, but something weird went on with the dough and it puffed up. There may be exploding pizzas going on at the scout hut.

Oh man, I have slipped on my path of challenge addiction /o\

But yes, you need to write awesome CM words!

Don't worry about slipping on the WTF27, the mods only infrequently okay submissions, so their queue is always full whenever I try to post to the comm. I've given up posting there.

I printed out what I have for CM Big Bang so far (only 4 sparse pages /o\), and I'm bringing a journal. So I'm prepared to get some writing done this weekend, even without a computer.

That's a shame. I enjoyed that comm.

4 pages is better than none, and you have a good idea. Who knows, being away from the computer could be just the thing you need.

Me too! I was sad too when I realized the comm was mostly dead because of lack of modly interest.

It might be! I also hold out high hopes for our 4th of July weekend. Three days off- that's a lot of writing time and I have no other plans that weekend.

Well, I'm off! Have a great weekend and thanks for taking care of my days at [livejournal.com profile] mikeyway_daily!
