These last few days have been amazing fannishly. But the first thing I have to note is this tweet of Mikey's.

Other amazing fannish things just in the last few days. MCR playing shows within days! The picture of Bandit. New single and new name for the Jon and Ryan band announced sometime today and while on the subject of them, this picture of Jon and Marley is beautiful. Also, of course, the release of New Perspective by Panic!

That's a lot of awesomeness right there. I'm looking forward to reports from the MCR shows so much. I was lucky enough to be online when both the picture of Bandit was posted and New Perspective first discovered. It was so cool watching fannish glee spread, posts going up in twitter and on LJ and in case of the song, links to the streaming that changed to links to the ripped download within minutes. Fans are all kinds of amazing.

In other news. Mam was diagnosed with swine flu on Sunday. Yesterday James was sent home from work, and diagnosed with swine flu -- meaning neither can leave the house for a week. Because he's not that bright sometimes James told mam he thought Corey was coming down with it, which led to weepy phone calls from her and the strong suspicion she's drinking in the house and then an early morning phone call to say she was having chest pains. It's going to be a long week.

I don't know, I can see the sense of him not being at work and I guess staying inside makes sense, but they seem to be making a drama out of the whole thing. I'm surprised someone doesn't come out and staple a contaminated sign on the door.

I'd so boo the swine flu. Getting the medication was insane, it was like a conveyor belt because they're so busy. Hand over identification, shuffle up, get checked in, shuffle up, get meds. It's good they're on the ball but rather worrying how many people were there.

My family is falling like flies with swine flu. I've just heard my sister has it now.

New Perspective is a fun song. It's very poppy and happy sounding. Now I'm impatiently waiting for Jon and Ryan to show what they have. And dude, Ryan and Pete are talking again it seems. That is so happy making!
