Men can be so bloody annoying.

Yesterday was James' day off, so we went shopping in the morning and bought some blank DVD's to try out the new burner. We came home in the afternoon, I just sat down to read my flist and mail and James decided he wanted to try burning one then. It's his day off, so I couldn't really say no, I would have done if I'd known he'd be there until 1 in the morning!

The DVD's wouldn't burn, the jobs kept rejecting. But did he look for help online? No he didn't. Just kept trying and wasting discs. Then ( and this will be familiar to you sis ) he tried downloading a dvx file, but the codecs wouldn't work. The problem was James didn't even know what codecs were and when I tried to explain he wasn't listening. I had to go through this with my last computer so I knew what needed doing on a basic level, but no, he knew better. I went to bed in the end and left him to it.

What annoyed me was I really wanted to e-mail someone, plus on a less important level, my discs from NSYNC land had arrived. 6 discs and I couldn't watch :( They don't play on my main DVD for some reason.

This entry sounds so selfish but I hate when I can't get online when I want.

One thing did make me lol yesterday. Kayleigh loves teasing me about liking boybands, because you know she's far too cool to like them. She was watching Crossroads ( and yes, I pointed out the irony of her mocking me when she was watching a Britney movie) when she started complaining about the winamp skin of Chris I'd left on Blue. We were swapping insults as you do, and she went something like 'why him, he's the worst of the lot? JC's the best." and I suddenly remembered that she used to have a *huge* crush on JC years ago. When I stopped laughing I reminded her of that, and she went red saying 'well I was 14, you're nearly 30, I had an excuse' But still, teasing material for months I think *g*

Now I'm off to catch up, but before I go as I couldn't do this yesterday.

Happy belated birthday Chris! I love you for so many reasons and you make me smile every time I see you. Thank you for being you.

Oh God, don't tell me about the fucking codecs from hell!

I defeated them at last, but boy was it annoying!

Firstly, on behalf of my gender, Hey!

On second thought, nevermind, as a whole we deserve worse... ;)

But really: Aww!

Terri, I Love your birthday wishes for Chris so much!

That was from your heart, and my kindred spirit appreciates that. I feel bad I didn't write something like that for Austin St. John back in September.

Which is ridiculous, I suppose, but you know what? I don't care! We're fans, and we have well-wishes for the men we're fans of. I see no wrong.

Just my two cents, keep the change... *g*

Lol, sorry.

Thanks for understanding about the fan thing too. I'm under no illusion that Chris would ever see what I wrote, but it's just something that I needed to share, get out into the open. I lust after Chris a whole lot, but I also admire him so much for dragging himself out of poverty and becoming the man he is today.

Austin St John, the power ranger one?

"...Austin St. John, the power ranger one?..."

lol Is there another? And if there is, I'm probably not interested...

Austin is to me as Victor is to you, except maybe moreso, because he's also my hero, pretty much embodies everything I'd like to be. Maybe "my idol" or "my obsession" might be closer, lol.

But COME ON, look at the guy! And he's a great person too, loves kids, fights & stands up for what he believes in, etc. He really felt all the "moral messages" they protrayed during the early Power Ranger days, they weren't just roles to him.

I met him once, in Chicago, made a COMPLETE babbling idiot out of myself... ..including pronouncing the name of one of his best friends phonetically. For the record, "Thuy" is pronounced "Twee", and not "Thigh" (and how much does it SUCK that she died? :( ). He didn't even bat an eye, though, I just found out later & felt like even MORE of an idiot- -though I'm not sure what my heart would do if he ever DID bat his eyes at me, lol.
