Boyband 100 entry (Longing: AJ)

It would be so easy to just reach out and pick up the glass. It taunted him, so close, full of liquid that gleamed seductively in the low lights. One quick dart of the hand, one fast swallow; no one would ever know. AJ longed to feel the burn of alcohol again, the fire in his veins that masked the deeper hurt. It would be so easy to give in. Only one thing stopped him, the MTV interview that he played night after night. He’d seen the pain on his brothers faces once; he never wanted to see it again.

Every time I see that interview it breaks my heart. The boys all look so shattered, they're suffering but still have to come onto MTV and tell everyone about AJ.

I also think it must be so hard for AJ, having to face alcohol all the time. I'd like to believe that thinking about his bandmates helps to keep him strong.
