Thank you so much for all the birthday wishes, emails and ecards. You're all made of awesome and magic.

Some things I want to point out that other people may enjoy. A very excellent Frank/Mikey spam by sperrywink which is here. Saba wrote me a Mikey and Brendon story! That was such a surprise and you should all go read and tell her how fantastic she is. Pets. imsinkingfast created a beautiful Mikey graphic and turloughishere created a gorgeous Gerard and Mikey birthday graphic. Thank you to sperrywink for the card that arrived yesterday, and made me all sniffly, ninjetti75 for the Mutant X awesomeness and arsenicjade, she knows why.

Thanks to a link from _bettina_ I transferered my emails and firefox settings really easily, and am in the process of transfering all my other stuff right now. My new tower is so cute, black and sleek and so fast! Best of all, no connection conflicts! So far windows 7 seems very user friendly but I still have a lot more to learn, plus I've a new keyboard which is throwing my typing off a little right now. Other than that I got money, which is always welcome and I intend to go shopping at the weekend and spend it in the bookshop and Lush.

Then after all that good stuff I managed to fall over. We'd just come back from James' hospital appointment and as I still had my shoes on went to get the bin. A mossy path plus frost meant I fell down full length, landing on my knees then hitting my chest on the low wall. I also managed to take the skin off my thumbs and scrape my arms and palms because I'm just that talented.

Yay, I'm glad the transfer worked without a problem! :-)

I've got Windows 7 since November or so and I really, really love it. It was a big step at first from XP to Win7, but there are some really nice features that I don't want to miss anymore. And I just love Aero Peek! ;-)

But falling full length means you didn't land all your weight on your knees directly, right? 'Cause that'd be bad; you'd end up with knees like my bad one, and trust me: Do Not Want. Hopefully your poor thumbs, palms, and arms helped disperse some of the damage over a greater area that will heal quicker than if it had all hit in one or two spots, oi.
