Pete is playing with my head by mentioning Mikey and slash in one tweet. I'm assuming it's some kind of inside joke that he and Gabe wished Mikey happy birthday, well, that or they're both terrible at dates. Or thinking of his wedding anniversary, who knows?

James is on early shift this week which means getting up at a ridiculous hour. This morning I was standing propped up against the sink making bacon sandwiches for James' bait and Corey's breakfast and I'm sorry, no one should be cooking at that time. I don't care if all I was actually doing was watching the George Foreman grill. But yeah, it means they're both out of the house by eight so I get an early start on stuff which is awesome. Of course it means I'm ready for bed early too. We were up there by half nine last night which is just wrong. Not that I went to sleep then, I got the latest Anita Blake book and have spent the last few nights reading going, seriously? Really? How that woman hasn't died from sex I'll never know, the pounding she gets I wouldn't be surprised if someone's dick exploded out of her head one day. Which reminds me of the unicorn picture Pen linked to, except it had a penis instead of a horn. At least I think it was Pen, two different people linked to unicorn porn lately. This is a very disturbing trend.

It's a lovely sunny day today so once James gets home from work we're off to the local nature reserve for a walk. Until then, back to Pete and Mikey's epic love :D

ETA: Just read about Corey Haim. That's such tragic news.

I haven't been able to get through too many Anita Blake books but that was one of my overwhelming reactions -- so much sex omg. And I'm told there's even more in later books, which. O_o

Gabe and Pete will always move in mysterious ways. I really liked the earlier Anita Blake books, they had some interesting world building but the latests ones are just too much sex. Although I still love the little corner of the AB/LKH fandom that I watch because it's all about snark and I know that the Anite Blake comics are always good for lulz.

I loved the early Anita Blake books so much. The world building was amazing and I enjoyed all the characters that were introduced. Then it went sex mad, whole chapters devoted to Anita having wild sex with multiple men. I keep buying the books simply because of fond memories of those early books but at this point I skim all the sex scenes.

Yeah, he was so good in Lost Boys. It's such a sad thing.

They are based on the original books so the plot is the same but the books did not translate into comic form well at all. The art is bad, the action is light, and the dialogue is even chunkier than in the books. The Chris from the Invincible Super Blog is doing a running sporking/critique (http://www.the-isb.com/?cat=91&paged=4) of them that is pretty funny.
