Mikey's new twitter picture is a thing of beauty. Favourite always!

On Friday nanna asked if we'd take her shopping for a new bedspread -- in which I mean she asked in that nanna like way which meant we had no chance of refusing. Still, we had a good day. She wanted to go to an outlet place that isn't that far away distance wise but add in the Easter traffic and it took a while to get there. As soon as we did she hustled us into the cafe for something to eat. Bowls of soup and toastie sharing minutes later and James and Corey left me with nanna to look for the bedspread. Which actually didn't take that long once I'd found a member of staff in the bedding department. Of course we then had to sit and debate about which colour to buy for a while. And then we were off again, me clutching the bedspread as nanna threaded her way through the small spaces between very expensive displays of china and kitchen wear.

Nanna was determined she'd buy me something for Easter, the problem was what. She had her heart set on finding a throw for my couch -- this is despite me saying I didn't know what colour the walls would be yet. In the end they didn't actually sell throws so she started listing other stuff. Did I want a top? No, I'd be lucky to get one arm in the tops they sold there. Did I want these flowers? No, I couldn't have them once she'd looked at the price. In the end I said I'd have some candles as they had a very lovely candle section in the store. She said okay even though she thought candles were too smelly. So we stood and sniffed many candles and I ended up with two small ones that smell of flowers.

Eventually we left with the bedspread, candles and a bag of jelly beans for Corey. Drove her home and were informed that she was going to my uncles for dinner so don't be late on Sunday. &nanna;

Yesterday we went for a walk. Sunderland are taking part in the Walk 4 Life programme and have a list of local parks with signposted walks in each, anything from one to three miles. We did a one mile at Herrington Park, which I enjoyed even though the first part is a long walk up a hill. By the time I was half way up I had to sit down and catch my breath, but you know, before Christmas no way could I have done that one mile walk. In fact, in four days it'll be three months since I started to get daily exercise and since I've eaten fast food, chips, chocolate etc. So out of breath on that hill or not, finishing that mile was a good moment. It also started pouring down with rain toward the end of the walk, which was fine, until it started hail stoning, that I wasn't fine with. So we got in the car and went home for hot showers.

While I was getting showered James and Corey made tea, and also managed to incinerate a baked potato which takes special skill imo. Then it was time for Doctor Who \o/ Which is when Kayleigh came in and took over my computer for the night. She was still on it when I went to bed, and when I woke up I found a lovely picture of her new girlfriend saved on my desktop. My sister, so giving and generous.

Today I've been playing catch up online, that and indulging myself by writing yet another Mikey and Gerard scene. This story is full of them, that and group scenes and more mentions of Starbucks than you can shake a stick at. What we're missing is a Mikey/Pete reunion, but soon, very soon.

James is working tomorrow but doesn't start until 12, which means more sleep for me! I love holidays.

Also, [livejournal.com profile] lucylooo recced a Eric/Nate NCIS: LA fic that I'm going to read next. I've been looking for Eric stories for ages and now I have one just waiting to be read. That them hitting the bandom stories I have tabbed to read. This is a good Sunday :D

ETA: I love fandom a lot, the people, the source, everything. [livejournal.com profile] arsenicjade wants to know something you love about fandom. So you know, go and tell her.

You know, this sounds like the right time to go on Facebook, and leave a comment about how your sister is leaving her sex tapes on your computer. Because if your fic counts as gay porn, then a photo of a girlfriend TOTALLY = sex tapes.

Your nanna is totally hilarious to read about but I guess she's probably a bit of trial in real life. Though that's often the case with elderly relatives I suspect.

Both taking up daily excercise AND not eating any junkfood for three months, you're totally awesome!! I love going for walks myself and try to do it regularly. I've noticed that whenever I don't get to do it for some reason, my fitness start to deteriorate immediately. It's almost scary how quickly it happens and how much longer it takes to build the fitness back again!

They managed to incinerate a baked potato?! I marvel at their skill ;-)

Waybrothers!!!

Mostly nanna's just funny, though I wish she'd wear her hearing aid more often.

Fitness is such a hard thing. I like walking when I get going and I actually like the little exercise routine I have for the mornings, it's just actually starting it.

They did incinerate it! It was more rock than potato when it was done *g*

That sounds like quite a shopping trip! It is not easy to have someone else trying to buy something for you with all their own agenda about what and how it should be, on top of what you might actually like.

Also, go you taking care of your health! three cheers for Terri!

It was quite the shopping trip, but despite the throw thing, it was fun.

Thank you!

(I'm really super proud of you for talking about how awesome you've been doing physically here. I know that's such a stupid thing to say, but.)

Thank you, love, for the link.

(Also, writing Sam Hannah-fic for lgbtfest.)

That's not a stupid thing to say at all. Honestly, your constant support means so much. I haven't been posting about all this simply because it's such a big thing for me, so that you sat and listened to me whine. It means the world.

You're welcome, and also \o/

YAY for your healthy living routine! I need to get back into the groove of daily exercise and better eating.

And Nanna stories are always a blast. *g*

I find the daily exercise much harder than the healthy eating. I don't mind once I'm actually doing it, it's the getting off my ass that's the issue.

Nanna is adorable, but a handful at times *g*
