Thank you to [livejournal.com profile] ihearthings_ii and [livejournal.com profile] brighton_girl for the adorable puppies on my user info page ♥

James and I drove out into the country yesterday. Dinner at a farm shop -- mushroom soup for me, bacon, egg and sausage sandwich for him -- and then to our favourite place where the sheep roam on the moors and kids play in a ford. A stop there and we went to Barnard Castle for an icy mango drink and walk around the shops and then stopped at the place where you can feed deer on the way home. On the way we picked up a big tray of eggs from one of the farmhouses, potatoes from the farm where you take bags of produce from the wall and leave payment in the honesty box and a tray of pork and leek sausages. Corey decided to stay home, it's just not cool for 14 year olds to hang with their parents.

Today I've been to see nanna and dad, took my sister grocery shopping and now the fridge is full of tasty stuff, which I have to admit, I'm too lazy to prepare right now. Instead I have coffee and a green apple and am about to edit my story, because it's finally written, with a title and everything. Now I just need a rating and summary and I'm golden.

It's been a good weekend. I hope you're all having good weekends too.

That sounds like a great day. I've never been anywhere with an honesty box.

I always wonder if the honesty boxes work out for the farms. There always seems to be money in there when we pay but I'm sure some people would either just take the stuff or the money :(

It was a really nice day. It was warm, sunny and felt more like summer than spring.

Not that Corey noticed, he was much happier in his room on X Box live *g*

Your Saturday sounds like it was absolutely marvelous. It was cold and rainy here yesterday but today's been sunny and warm if you stayed out of the wind.

I've done absolutely nothing this weekend! I'd planned to plant the pansies I bought last week but yesterday was too cold and rainy to be outdoors and today I felt too lazy to do it :-)

You've finished, congratulations!

It really was a good day, so warm that you didn't need a coat. In fact it got to the giddy heights of 18 degrees.

The pansies will wait I'm sure. Lazy days should be indulged.

I have! I just need to finish polishing and it'll be good to go.

It's been fantastic. I'm so lucky to live where I do, with the coast and countryside so close.

OOOOHHHHH! I can't wait to read it!

I am still having a nice time. I enjoyed Sunday and then spent Monday morning with raveninthewind, and now I am ensconced in my new hotel room and ready to chill.

What a fabulous-sounding day. I think I'm a bit envious. And isn't it nice to finish a story? I've missed that feeling lately.

It was a fantastic day, though a little weird not having Corey with us. They grow so fast.

It feels good to finish a story, though I could do without the 'omg, I hope they like it' feeling. I'm sure you'll get your own finished story feeling soon.
