Happy birthday yami_tai I'm sending you love and virtual hugs right now. Hopefully one day we'll exchange them again for real ♥

There's something really weird going on with our lights. The plasterers had to do something to them to plaster the ceiling and since then the toilet and downstairs lights won't turn on if the kitchen lights are on. The light switch at one end of the room turns on the kitchen lights while the lights at that end of the room don't turn on at all. They really need to be checked out asap.

The decorator got in touch and said they were coming either Thursday or Friday, which, bad timing all around. Friday is impossible as I'll be travelling to Camp Sparkle and Thursday I'll be getting ready to go and really didn't want a day of people in the house and moving things around. Still, at least James is off on Thursday and it'll be another step forward in getting things straightened up.

Instead of what I should have been doing I've been playing at anon_lovefest today. It was fun, I may have to do it more often. This little bit of writing helped push back the idea that's taken root in my head. A really ridiculous idea with cold boys huddled together and the Ways being saviours and really, I should just give in to the fact that I'm happiest writing stuff like that. I see many words of ridiculous h/c and angst in my future and I can't wait.

ETA: It's the last day to leave prompts at the getmikeylaid challenge. Go, prompt! Get Mikey laid!

oh they always are. we have a dead light in our kitchen, and we even managed to fix it once and it broke again like ten minutes after the master left. oh home management, why so difficult.

Your issues with your lights is not good. o_o How bizarre!

(Though I should talk -- half of the lightswitches in our house flip up for off and down for on, and always have. Old house is ridic.)

I have been stalking anon_lovefest for Bob prompts. If none turn up, I may go back and look through previous weeks' prompts. I am really in the mood for tiny ficlet writing.

My current home-owner's issue is the lawn. It hasn't been mowed in a while. Our push mower is not working, and husband jerry-rigged the riding lawn mower and I have no idea how to make it work. At this point I'm going to probably have to call the kid up the street to have him come do it before my neighbors all hate me.

It's so weird. At first I thought they'd just messed up the living room light as it wouldn't turn on. Which wasn't a huge problem because we have two light fittings in the room. Then we discovered all the other problems.

Calling the kid up the street sounds like a sensible solution. I'm glad the only grass we have gets cut by the council. Otherwise we'd have a jungle.

Hee! I thought of both you and T when I saw it so aren't surprised. Writing for your own prompt just isn't the same. Hope you find something that calls to you.

That doesn't sound good about your lights. Wiring and electric problems are always scary, they can cause really bad things to happen. *shudder* I hope it's something really simple and easy to fix!

But would the Way brothers really make good saviours? I can only imagine them as the most inept saviours ever, I'm afriad ;-D

They'd be very inept! But also good hearted and willing to try their best. Just thinking about them with blankets and hot tea makes me grin.

Gerard would make all these complicated and grandiose plans! Mikey would forever have to be dragging him back to reality and pointing out why they wouldn't work. But when Gerard asks him to come up with a better plan he can't so they have to go with Gerard's! And it succeeds!! With one or two small setbacks...

The same guy who did the plastering is coming back on Thursday. Hopefully everything will get fixed then.
