Yet again I failed in yesterday's plan to get all comments answered, but I did make a dent at least. I kept getting distracted, firstly by new pictures, then finding a new clip then I just happened to have the Atlantis concert in Silver. It suddenly started playing, isn't that amazing! It was the first time I'd seen it, and damn, do Chris, Joey and Lance sound good when they sing solo. I'd say that I got a tear in my eye but that would make me sound like a wuss, so lets not mention it. But Lance...he can sing! Why those three don't take the limelight more often I don't know.
I also had yet another dishwasher flood yesterday, bloody thing that it is. Alerted by Corey and his friend shouting the kitchen was flooded, went in thinking they'd be exaggerating as usual, but no, the floor was covered in hot water. It's coming from the back somewhere, which I found out when I looked and a load of hot water poured over my foot.
Today is my best friends 30th birthday, and that blows me away a little. We met in the first year of junior school when we were 7. I called her a scruff, she called me stuck up, and that was a start of a friendship that's lated since then. We went through teens and now twenties together. Had terrible fights but also laughed together so much. We're totally different people, always have been. We've never had the same tastes in anything and she doesn't understand fandom at all. But though she laughs, it's never in a mean way. She supports me writing even though she got embarrassed when she read what I wrote, and it was only a kissing scene *g* I just love her to bits, when I think of her now I think of that kid who glared then shared her sweets. How we walked miles as we hung at the local hang out eying boys. How her family was mine, a refuge when things got too much. How we drank Pink Kangaroos, (larger, cider, vodka and blackcurrant in a pint glass) at the clubs, dancing way into the night. How she was there when I met James and there when Corey was in special care after he was born, telling me to be strong as doctor after doctor told me he could die. We don't see each other as often now, but I just want to wish Jill happy birthday, she'll never see this but I'm sending loads of love to her now, and in person when I see her later.
Sappy stuff over, I'm about to get stuck into things again. If I keep telling myself enough maybe one day I'll be an organised person.
ETA: keep meaning to do this and forgetting, because you know, I suck. Welcome to all the new friends on here,
dine,
english_muffin,

ochretones,
oddblobofagirl and
toeprint. If I've missed anyone, sorry :(
As I said, welcome to the LJ of a sparkly, mutant, slash obsessed drama queen, who shares too much at times and who's middle name is procrastination ;)
