Day 7

In your own space, create a fanwork. Make a drabble, a ficlet, a podfic, or an icon, art or meta or a rec list. Arts and crafts. Draft a critical essay about a particular media. Put together a picspam or a fanmix. Write a review of a Broadway show, a movie, a concert, a poetry reading, a museum trip, a you-should-be-listening-to-this-band essay. Compose some limericks, haikus, free-form poetry, 5-word stories. Document a particular bit of real person canon. Take some pictures. Draw a stick-figure comic. Create something. Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so.


I was waiting for this challenge to happen, and what an excellent list of suggestions.

While I was tempted to draft a critical essay about a particular media ¹ I'm actually going to do a Musketeers picspam, so you can all see what I've been enjoying.

Plus, I highly suspect I'll be back very soon with a writing prompt post as a second challenge fill, as I do like those. But for now.

It makes me sad that while I watched The Musketeers when it was on from the start, I never got fannish about it until just before season three was shown. But I got there eventually, so let me show you some Musketeers, and a lot of Aramis who is the prettiest of all.

I know it's not a popular opinion in some parts, but I like a bit of Aramis/Anne



And Aramis/d'artagnan is fine, too.

I'm also all about a bit of Aramis/Constance. Especially as Constance kicks ass.

Ahahaha. Yeah, it was D'artagnan, partly because I think he is the cutest. But then I had to delete over 800 photos of JC from my LJ photo storage, so I guess it would be no surprise to either me or James, that I would like D'artagnan. *g*

He really is cute, but there's something about Aramis that really captured my attention. I love that he's called Murder Kitty in some parts of the fandom as it fits him so well.

A good old-fashioned fannish picspam, yay! Haven't seen one of these in a long time. Over on tumblr people mostly seem to post pics one by one for some reason.

Not my fandom at all, as you know, but I agree that they're all rather pretty. (But I hope this version of them is taking place in some sort of fantasy land and time. What they're wearing is so not 17th century fashion :-)

I miss seeing picspams. I've no idea why on tumblr people do what they do, but I enjoyed picking each photo and having a little comment on it.

Sadly not a fantasy time. It's supposed to be realistic, but I'm not surprised at all it actually isn't.

This totally has me thinking that I should give The Musketeers another try! I started it season one, but tend to be faily about ongoing shows. Apparently I'm not good at waiting /o\. Now that there are several seasons, I'm totally going to give it another go! SO MUCH PRETTY!

I enjoyed all the seasons, though the last had a different tone to the others. However, it was still good, and full of pretty.

I know what you mean, though. I so often give up on shows and come to regret it.

Yes! I love that about him. The man does such risky, crazy things at times, and I love him for it.

I'm glad you enjoyed the pic-spam, I had fun putting it together. And yeah, lots of leaning goes on. And no wonder when they look so good doing it.

I did watch Merlin, but embarrassingly it took me a while to realise Santiago was Lancelot.
