I liked Unbreakable back when I saw it in 2001 (though I haven't felt the need to rewatch it since then) and found Split (which came out 3 yrs ago, I think?) to be a middle of the road/OK movie.

So I wasn't super invested with Glass. And yet, I was hoping for a good story. However, there are so many things that made me go WHY about the plot (and the plot holes, omg, so many plotholes). Also, also, I resented that, for a movie called Glass that hinted at it being about Mr. Glass, he didn't show up until almost an hour into the film?

I think M. Night was trying to do a subversion of the superhero genre which is all good and fine. Different/opposing opinions about art are necessary so that the art (or genre, in this case) doesn't stagnate.

HOWEVUH, his criticism was about 10 years too late, imo? I also resented a lot the not-so-subtle attempt at gaslighting via the doctor trying to convince the three leads as well as the audience that superheroes didn't exist in that 'verse.

I was like "HELLO, LADY, THERE HAVE BEEN 2 FEATURE-LENGTH MOVIES THAT GO IN ABT SUPERPOWERED PPL!!!"

FTR, this is the current Worst Movie of 2019 (so far), LOL.

Oh, it's a good thing that you talked to Kayleigh about Shauna because it's one of those situations where it's better to keep everyone in the loop.
